  2. Very happy with my Tekotas for about 5 seasons now. Flawless. I know there are alot of guys running them in salt water but I don't know if they are running wire or not. Glen

  6. The only number on the front of the spoon is #5. It's 2" long, 5/8" wide at it's widest and silver front with copper back. Thanks for any help locating these spoons for me and thanks for the info and offers already given. Happy New years and lots of fish in 2012. Glen
  7. I got to get a hold of a certain Sutton spoon made in Naples. The only tackle shop in my area that sells them said they haven't been able to get any. Can anybody help me out here? I'll try and get a number off the spoon later today and post it. Thanks Glen

  9. Very Nice Musky. Congratulations. Safe and Happy New Year to you and yours. Glen
  10. Do a search you will find alot of info on running copper of the Otter boats. They need to be set up right with the tow line harnesses tied at the right length. I prefere adding the 2nd set of keels when pulling long coppers. I also added a second set of holes 3/4 of an inch center to center directly below the pre drilled holes and they run even better. Good luck Glen
  11. Merry Christmas everybody. Glen

  16. I would be interested. You got a model # or something? I'd like to got to the website and check it out. Thanks Glen
  17. I hooked up the red wire to pos and the black to neg. If you are talking about the thin blue wire, that is for display light and no I didn't hook it up.
  18. Yes I've heard of such a rule. Basically I'll run long leads in shallow water and in deeper water I'll go short with one side and long with the other and see what happens. If my dipsys are going and my riggers aren't, that would usually indicate a long lead is required. If I'm getting streakers and no hits the first thing I'll adjust is my speed the 2nd is my lead lengths. Let the fish tell you what to do. (or not to do) They will.
  19. Yes, thats generally long but sometimes thats where the fish want it. As mentioned the deeper you are fishing the shorter the leads. As short as 5 feet at times.
  20. Ya that should be OK. Make sure your switch will handle the current. Just keep in mind if you get out on the water and you are getting interference on any components you might have to run an independent line to that component. I get interference on my subtroll when I key the mike on the vhf but it's no big deal to me as it's very temperary. Glen
  21. Looks good Nick. Glen
  22. Congratulations. Good health and lots of happiness to you all. Glen
  23. With seperate units, should one go on the fritz, the other one still works. More screen size unless you buy a big screen for big money. Also I'm not tied to one manufacturer. I like Garmin for gps and Furuno for ff. Disadvantages would be two units take up more space and you have two installations. Probably more money. Personally, I go with seperate units. Good luck Glen
  24. Thanks for the suggestions. Glen
  25. I'm looking for the best price on a Furuno 620 FF. Anybody got any ideas? Thanks Glen
