  1. Heard they are not any longer. Glen
  2. Thanks Big Dave. Glen
  3. I was under the impression because of prop rotation, one side is more apt to get turbulance than the other side. Been a long time I had a transome mount so I could be wrong. Just something I seem to remember from doing an install years ago on an 18 ft Starcraft. Glen
  4. Yup. The higher the better. Mines mounted right up on the bow. Only other thing I can think of is pay attention to your rod placement relative to your tow lines. More than one rod and reel have been pulled out of the holders by the tow lines on a turn. Glen
  5. Yup. Pretty brutal.
  6. Nice job Nick. You taking the new boat out? Glen
  7. Good luck my friend. Come on April. Glen
  8. Thanks for the update and the good news Tom. Glen
  9. Jeff Do you remember how fast you were trolling that 28 size Fishlander? Never have any trouble getting the Mags going just haven't done much on that size. Thanks Glen
  10. OK Thanks. I'll let him know and get back to you if he's interested. Probably would want the bases. Glen
  11. Never mind G. Fox. Hank sent me a picture.
  12. Gray Fox, Would you happen to have a picture of the riggers? Especially the Base for mounting. I got a friend with a small boat looking for riggers but mounting them will be an issue. If I could get a look at the Base it would be helpful. Thanks Glen
  13. What a bunch of crap. Glen
  14. Sorry Hank. As you may have noticed I feel very strongly that the 3 rod law would be good for the fishery. Kinda tough to do much about it being from out of state. You guys do a fine job here. Glen
  15. Don't believe you could go wrong with any of the major brands. I run Traxtechs in a track system and for a good price they are a quality rod holder. Do everything I need. Glen
  16. Your a beauty all right. And by the way I don't quite get the corelation between all that jibbrish you just spewed and running a third rod. Please stick to the topic. Tangle Factor Thanks for posting that fact about the extra rod use for searching for fish. That fact has been presented in this debate more than once in the past. It was ignored and disregarded as nonsense by those who know more than everybody else. Glen
  17. Some people are fortunate enough to use this message board as a tool to gain knowlege in areas they lack experience or knowledge. Some people don't or can't. Takes all kinds I guess. Fact is, this is a good place for new guys to get help and thats what it's all about. Fortunatley, most guys would come on this board and say "hey guys why is this happening". Then they would pick up some techniques to maybe help them out and become better fishermen or sportsmen in general. Glen
  18. Not aware of that one Cornelis. Possible, but if so it wouldn't apply to my fuel purchased in NY for my boat thats kept in NY. I know the friggin Governer wanted to raise the gas to to the second highest in the Nation. He got stiffled on that and then reelected I know of a guy that fished Wachussett a couple months ago. Said he was overrun by ticks walking around fishing there. Said they were terrible.
  19. Very nice. I got a couple friends that keep boats just for Quabbin. Haven't made it out there for a couple years now. Been heading up to the Big Lake pretty much every weekend. We'll see how that goes this year as the gas prices are supposed to get real high.
  20. If you haven't really gotten any reasons of why I support the 3 rod rule you should go back and reread the last 5 or 6 pages of information. Read slowly because some are quicker than others. Then go back and reread the 10 or so pages that was posted on this subject in the past. Then go back and reread the bunch of pages that you argued with everybody and accused me of being a liar because I can successfully release Steelhead. Again read slowly. Only an idiot would claim wanting to catch fish, after driveing 530 mi round trip every weekend, was greedy. Big suprise Hasbeen. I go fishing to catch fish. And I respect the fishery. Anybody thats ever been on my boat will attest to that Hasbeen. You could really learn something from all the experience on this board if you would keep your hands in your pockets instead of on the keyboard and read when you come here. Just try it. Have a great day and go catch some fish in the river. Glen
  21. Hard to say Andy. All depends on the weather. Hopefully looking at 2 or 3 weeks.
  22. Used to fish the Landlocks a few times a year and Bass a couple times during the summer. Really enjoyed it. Now you have to have the bottom of the boat pressure steam cleaned by the State and they put a seal on your boat. You can't use your boat anywhere else or you have to pay and go through the steam cleaning again. That pretty much marked an end to my Quabbin fishing. Hopeing to get out there for some Cayuga or Seneca LL. You been there biglaker? Never mind just saw your homeport listing.
  23. Sorry Hasbeen. You are beyond any type of help. If you can't figure out these minor problems by yourself and you don't do anything but argue with those that might be a touch sharper than yourself what do you want me to say? You can't even figure out a kid with three swings at the ball has a better chance to hit it than that the same kid with one swing at the ball. Geeze, thats really complex. Argue with someone else please. Thank you for your valuable input coach. Glen
  24. Thanks Cornelis.
