  1. Cowder did you go out today? Also you guys that went out on Seneca yesterday, did you hit any big landlocks? I'm thinking about taking a long ride out for next weekend. Thanks Glen
  2. You gave yourself the accurate answere with the shots of the tails and the jaws relative to the eye. Glen
  3. Tuna....
  4. Check this boat out. viewtopic.php?f=10&t=14854. Reel recomendations would depend on what you want to spend and what type of fish you are looking to catch. Glen
  5. Happy Birhtday Stan. Keep those pictures comming. Glen
  6. Happy Birthday Shark. Glen
  7. The jaw stops short of the back of the eye and the tails are forked. Both landlocks. Look at how the jaw runs past the back of the eye on the Browns in your picture Sting. Glen
  8. Lost my head there for a second Jeff.
  9. but i'm sure that most of the time spoons are the better option Not necessarily. There have been plenty of days that I watched Browns on the FF swim up to the spoons and not hit um and had that stickbait running behind take most of the fish for the day. Especially after the bite is over and the fish are shut down late in the morning on sunny days. I like Rapala floaters in size 11 for this type of situation. They will run about 3 to 4 feet below the ball at 40 -60 ft lead. Glen
  10. Sticks off the riggers will take fish. Next time you get an idea just try it. I 've saved many days just trying stuff thats off the wall. Glen
  11. Can't comment on those sticks as I don't run them. Mostly Rapalas for me and I can usually get something going by changing models for different actions. As far as colors it all depends on the conditions that day or even that hour. Black and silver, black and gold, firetiger, perch, chartuse , orange or red. They all take fish. I will usually run a spread that I have had success with under the current conditions but usually have one rod with something different out there and see what happens. Then make adjustments accordingly. Glen
  12. Scotty booms are VERY strong. Anything lighter than a truck you should be OK. LOL I believe Scottys are rated for 20 Lbs. Glen
  13. Happy birthday Tom. Hope it is a good one. Glen
  14. Glad I read your post before I wished you a happy Bday. LOL Glen
  15. I'd really like the Saints to take it for the 1st time there. I think with 5 1/2 points, it's a pretty good bet. Glen
  16. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your mom Ray. Glen and Kelly
  17. My crew smells bad enough. Don't need it. Glen
  18. Soon as you can get the boat in is the best time to start. Spoons and stickbaits right along the shoreline. Light line and slow trolling when the water is cold. Glen
  19. Otter Boats. Just plain run good and handle bumpy water very well. Glen
  20. Sorry for your loss Tom. Thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Glen and Kelly
  21. Just for starters I would think the weight factor would be the 1st thing to consider on an 18 foot aluminum. You got to look at what you already have on there for main power and how the boat will ride with the additional weight of the kicker plus a couple guys standing back there playing and netting fish. I know guys that push 21+ ft glass boats with the yami 8's. Next thing that I would look at is the charging capability of the kicker. What do you need to keep the batterys (battery) going. That will help you make a decision on your kicker selection. If you can get away with the 8 over the 6 then thats what I would go with as I've never heard of anybody complain about being overpowered when the wind kicks up and wants to blow the boat all over the lake. I know quite a few guys running the Yamis and there a good motor. I run a Honda and I am happy with it as well but it's nice to have a matched set on the back of the boat. Can't help you with the prop question. Good luck with your decision. Glen
  22. Very nice Shade. Good luck with her. Glen
  23. Beautiful fish. Glen
  24. Thanks Greg. I will sure mention this to my tax guy and see what he says. Glen
