  3. Here's a trophy brown trout just completed and ready for delivery to one of my most loyal charter clients. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  4. Using a complex system of physics, calculus and algorithms I have developed a way of calculating the maximum fish catching attractiveness of each copper setup I have. It's based on length of copper, length of rod and reel it's stored on. My leader lengths are precisely calculated using my top secret formula. 15-20 feet should do it! Lmao. 5. Flea flicker no longer exists. However, Blood Run has Sea Flea line which is very good and doesn't have the twist issues that flea flicker had. Great knot strength too. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Instead of 600 feet of 32 or 45# why not try 400 or 450 of 60#? I run two 45# rigs and put a 60# rig in the chute. They never see each other because of the sink rate of the 60 and I can put copper literally at ANY depth. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. You are correct Matt. Your score after 2 legs is 129.73 and you are in 12th. Sorry for the confusion. It's a little tough manually adding and entering scores on an iPhone. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  10. You're probably right Greg. However, those long treks east during my busiest charter season are tough to do. I love fishing there and I WILL be there for the atomik challenge. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Yup! It's gonna be a close contest again---everyone has a shot. Especially with 27 pounders showing up now! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  14. My reply wasn't meant to offend you Mark. And I was correct in my assessment. Your bad feeling towards copper comes from your lack of experience with it. I was in the same position back in '91 when 7 strand wire came out for running divers. I hated it because I didn't know how to properly run it, rig It or even understand the dynamics behind it. My suggestion is to find someone proficient with copper to show you how to properly rig, deploy and run copper. And now I will further inflame the internet tempers by suggesting, as a beginner, that you try Blood Run copper. It is far more forgiving and user friendly than the other stuff. (And NO I am NOT bashing Toms copper or anyone else's). Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  15. Why do you "hate" copper? It's just a deployment device. That's like saying you hate dipsies or hate riggers. If you hate it there must be a reason and, most likely, it's something you did wrong. Unless you just don't like reeling in which case adding more lead core will only make your frustrations worse and you still won't catch any more fish because 12, 13 or even 15 colors wont go much deeper than 10 at the speeds we troll. 19. The westerly winds we are having this week should set things up nicely. Look for the bait starting around 50fow and work north from there. There should be everything there-browns, kings, lakers and steelhead--all ready to eat. Note to ALL rec anglers and part time fishermen-- "Most" charter boats have no problem with you fishing near them but PLEASE do not cut closely behind them. Most will be running multiple long copper lines that cannot be easily removed to allow you to pass 40 yards off the stern. Contrary to what some think not all the fish in the lake hang out right under charter boats. Good luck and have fun! Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  20. Use your imagination. Most of the fun in taping spoons or flashers is coming up with an ORIGINAL idea that works. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. High tech 378's. They used Lakeland blanks and some had dimples and some didn't. They were also the only producer of "black chrome" blanks which made some interesting patterns and fished well. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  22. Nope. Don't need one. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  23. The only swans legal to kill in PA are mute swans. Tundras and trumpeters are protected. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. Lake view Motel. 6 miles west of Wilson on 18. Plenty of room for boats and trailers and great people to deal with. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. NY is one of the FEW states that actually protects what has been declared an "invasive species" by the Feds. Most states, PA included, have a "shoot on sight" policy. Thanks to a "swan hugging" group on Long Island mute swans are actually protected in NY. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
