Measuring the exact amount of line out isn't important. What is important is duplicating it and counting level wind passes does just fine. Killed thousands of erie walleyes doing just that for decades. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
I don't usually get to do a lot of bass as most of my fish are salmon and trout. I really enjoyed doing this piece for a young man.

I believe there are fly manufacturers putting echips in flies. The problem is the lack of available "echip chargers". I found an app for my phone that charges my echips and keeps them working. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Blood Run Sea Flee works well. 30# will work as long as they don't get too bad. For the past several years the western side of Lake O has only seen about 2 weeks of "bad flea days". Really not bad the rest of the year FYI you won't see them at all until the majority of the Lake surface is 60 degrees or warmer. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Ask yourself this--you are standing on a riverbank casting a spoon. Will you have a better chance of catching a fish by casting upstream, downstream or across the stream? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
You can skip the swivel. Mono to fluoro is easy to connect with back to back uni knots. Mono to copper works well with properly tied Albright knots. Just make sure you terminate with a good ball bearing swivel at the lure. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
I'm posting for a friend that has 2 Cannon Easi-troll manual riggers, dual Big Jon rod holders with the ball cradle and a Garmin GPS. All this stuff is new or barely used. This deal would be perfect for anyone looking to make the jump to Lake Ontario in their small
Boat.
$800 takes the entire package but open to offers.

Were the fleas bad at the time? A lot of graphs will mark bands of fleas. The fleas hold in the 60 degree water. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
Finally got back back into doing some fish after a 3 month "medical hiatus". Here's a trophy brown taken by a client aboard Capt Matt Yablonski's Lund. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
I love the Lyman's and the new Dreamweaver plugs for copper and leadcores when we have a rollover or staging fish. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
If they dive with a fish on you are fighting the fish wrong. With a fish on and the board in the water the rod MUST be held parallel to the water until the board is close enough to be lifted out of the water. If a board should dive, typically at the end of a long run, simply put your thumb on the spool and freespool it. The board will keep the line tight on the fish and will pop up within 30 seconds or so. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
You don't need to move the weights or modify anything on the 44's to run leadcores and anything up to a 350 copper. 400-600 may require modification. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
