  1. Wide open floorplan is what I would do. No seats. Take a couple small folding seats to hunt out of. You cant imagine how fast you can load up a duck boat with stuff.
  2. SLOOOOOOOW on Cayuga the last few days. Birds are wadded up North of Frontenac. Bunch of mallards, some blacks, some whistlers, some redheads and hardly saw any buffies. Tons of hunting pressure has made for flare fest conditions. My buddies layout setup was the best set up but they even flared to that spread. Blind shy, decoy shy and of course tough to call as any late season is. We need some weather and new birds! I wish Wells College had a blind on their beach. lol
  3. Thats great Bob
  4. They are supposed to reopen the railroads that were all damaged by the recent floods here in my area. These railroads havent been open since 2006. Federally funded project from what I hear. Supposedly to help supply materials needed in the anticipated gas drilling.
  5. I will give it a try. Forgot about geese for confidence. I have tried big and small spreads. I will try the wonder duck. I have pretty much eliminated mojos unless its snowing or foggy with limited visibilty. Thanks. I have to get Pete from ON THE LAM some birds or he wont take me out on his new boat this spring. lol
  6. I hope your right. I dont expect it to be anywhere near as good as years past. I prefer cold and wind. Northwest preferably. I like to see the small water lock up so it forces the birds to use the bigger lakes. I would love to see a big artic blast up north to send some fresh birds down especially the divers. I have not been on Cayuga in a couple weeks but I saw very few divers then. It has been a weird season so far. Hunted local river Saturday and Canadrago Sunday. Slow both days. Couple Mallards both days. Lots of mallards around, just cant get them to finish well this season. careful offshore in the late season cold. You wont last 15 minutes in that cold water if you went in. Pulling someone back in a boat with all those clothes and gear on is a almost impossible task. Safe gunning and good luck.
  7. Yikes, I bet the Cable man had to go clean out his shorts when he got to the truck
  8. Looks great. Havent been on Seneca in years. Used to duck hunt Judge Argent singer (sp) camp for ducks but havent hunted that spot in two years or more.
  9. I will alert the bunk house Pete. Andy just say the word. I have multiple farms and acreage to hunt them.
  10. If the late season is going to be salvaged, we need a big arctic blast to send them down. Would'nt hurt to get all the small water locked up either. Supposed to be huge numbers of birds. I havent seen them yet. (other than loads of mallards) Come on big NW blow!!
  11. Havent heard the yotes since bow season. There are lots of them out there however. We have seen less deer this year than last. Seems to be a steady decline in deer sightings for us in low altitute 7M and 7P. I figure in another couple years it will be a good challenge to gun a doe.
  12. We had plans for an Ontario hunt Saturday a.m but my nephew woke up sick Sat. a.m. so we stayed close to camp. Hunted Northern end of Cayuga Lake Saturday and Sunday a.m Slow weekend. South Wind allowed for one of my spots I always wanted to try. Finally grew a set and took the boat out to get to the spot. Saturday a.m my oldest boy made two awesome shots on mallards departing out of the dekes. Had to have been 40 plus yards. lots of mallards around and some blacks. Mallards were very vocal but I couldnt make many of them commit. I did manage a banded black duck Sat. a.m. Sunday a.m was slower yet. Not many divers around. Saturday we had a mixed spread of divers and puddle ducks. Sunday we tried a puddle setup way back in a bay but was real slow. Saw a big raft of birds I believe were coots. Never saw them before. Not much shooting. I saw very few divers for this time of the year. Cant be certain but think I may have seen some teal on the wing fly over head real early. Cant imagine teal still being around. I created a waterfowling monster. My nephew has added to our aresenal in a big way. We now have a bigger arsenal of new diver dekes and mother rigs to put a hurting on them in the late season. Come on Cold weather, and the late season! We cant wait!!!
  13. A huge loss to our dock. We sure will miss Ron. R.I.P buddy

  15. Super sweet proven fish catching machine. Wish I had the coin. Make someone an awesome platform!
  16. I agree in regards to deck space and fishability between the bayliner and 'dancer too. I am weighing in ride, fit and finish as well as performance too, thats all.
  17. Im soaking this up to John.lol
  18. Way to go. We are planning a lake Ontario hunt as well. Cant wait

  20. Way to go tristan! Pretty quiet two days for us. Didnt seem like deer season around me.
  21. Way to go. Priceless
  22. way to go
  23. I wouldnt put the bayliner in the same bracket as a Searay as far as quality or ride. Nothing wrong with a bayliner I just think the searay is a far superior hull. I would go searay.
  24. I never had any problem with penetration before. Ray, they make a pill for that. Just kidding of course bud!
