  1. I didnt now Lowrance customer service could get any worse. I cant believe they sell anything at all anymore
  2. Frank from HOME OFFICE, PETE from ON THE LAMB And JIM from DOUBLE JJ just sent me a pick from ABOARD THE ON THE LAMB to remind me that they are not working and I am. I cant post it because of the format. I dont know what's uglier, Jim's face or the lamprey scare on this 12 pound brown. I cant believe Jim put down the beer long enough to snap a picture! Jim wears those glasses at night too. He looks like Ray Charles stumbling around the red dock looking to steal beer from anybodys cooler. (RED DOCK BANDIT) Sunglasses keep people from seeing the road maps in his eyes! Must be Pete netted it because Frank would have DUFFED it. Frank probably has those stinky high top sneakers on with his sport socks hiked up to his testicles. Dont worry about Pete yelling at you guys. You just have to check your feelings at the TUNA DOOR when you fish with the SHERIFF! You will get a Jersey ass peelin' in a NEW YORK minute. Have a great day boys and stay out of my boat!!!!!
  3. Andy, run a couple of wire off the battery right to the plug ends/connectors or whatever you have to be sure the motors are good to
  4. What Mickey Finn said sounds about right.
  5. Goingagain2 (John) The only figure 8 I have ever seen you create was the "loose" figure 8 formation you stagger around the red dock in. Must be something to do with the cup you always carry around. I must admit that warm swill you were pouring Saturday night sure was good. The sheriff even liked it.
  6. Nice, good luck in your search.
  7. Sweet ride Billy. What do you have your eye on?
  8. Way to go Eric. I could have guessed you caught it on that spoon. Nice fish. I cant wait to see some of the bruisers that are going to be caught in August.
  9. Thanks guys. I had a perfect birthday. Spent the weekend on the boat surrounded by family and great friends.
  10. bowhunter, sure sounds like the switch to me. You can cross the solenoid at the pump if you know what your doing to be certain its something switch or wire related prior to the pump. Sounds like something is loose and getting better contact when it is in gear to me. You can also unplug the switch and touch the wires together to make it go up or down. If I remember correctly Gray and green together go up and maybe purple and red down. Dont have the switch in front of me so I am not sure.
  11. Thanks Andy, I did rule out the solenoid. I jumped/bypassed the switch and it works fine. Defenitely the switch.
  12. looking for a source for a Quicksilver trim switch that is mounted on the shift handle. It controls up/down and trailer trim. Buddies boat needs a new one. Anybody have a good online source?
  13. Sounds good stop by and see it. I might be able to find you a beer if my dock mates dont drink all of them.
  14. nice ride, get her wet
  15. Sounds like the same one. Ratheon equipment was just like you said. I still have the radar in the same place. Name is no longer visible. Previous owner name of Berringer is still visible from where the vinyl was. boat runs like a top and handles great. You are right, you dont see a lot of these with the hardtop. This has twin v-8's which is another upgrade. I am suprised how fast the thing will go if you can afford it. It will be at Wrights Landing in Oswego Red dock #19 if you ever get a chance to stop by.
  16. I just put a drop light and a thermostat controlled heater in my engine compartments to be safe. Hate to risk a freeze. If it were in the water I would not worry about it. Thanks for the reminder
  17. 2thdoc, thanks! This boat was the actual boat your dad owned? If so, thats awesome. He took great care of it and I am sure he had a lot of pride for her. We really do enjoy the boat. I spoke with a previous owner who was a women. Very nice lady. Was that your mother? I never got the bimini top for it and I am sure there must have been one for it. Was the boat sold with it? I bought the boat from sterndrive specialists. Gray
  18. Last gears I stripped out was on a 1978 mercruiser 888 outdrive. Back then the gears were $200.00 bucks a piece. I have been wrenching on stuff all my life. I wouldnt consider messing with the gears. Too complicated with backlashes, etc. Specialty tools I dont have, etc. Do yourself a favor and take it to a professional. To replace the outdrive with a replacement isnt too difficult but may be more expensive. I would have it diaognosed before I bought a new one. good luck and keep us posted.
  19. If you try to net the fish, we will all have beer. Dont forget the miss a fish buy a case rule that Jim came up with.
  20. It is a nice addition to the back yard Pete. I have Uncle Jims boat in front of it too
  21. MUSKY, LMAO! That's a result from my boys watching too much axe men. They hauled that piece of pine out of my woods with the four wheeler. They think they are J. Browning employees.
  22. Refinished the teak on my boat and have almost all of it back on. New bottom paint, added a couple of tracks, moved the corner riggers back as my boys request (hard for them to reach) New shift cable, new thermostats, new water impellers, lubed and inspected gimbal bearings, etc, etc, gaskets, etc. painted the outdrives, etc. Been busy. A bit splashing her this year. Maybe next weekend. Heres a few crappy cell pics.
  23. Glad I could entertain you guys. It wasn't the red and whites. I didnt drink anything that day and never attempted to dock that tub sober. It was a new experience, that was the problem. LMAO! Hey Sput, TOP GUN was looking for you, he said he wanted you to mate for him. He said he would supply the doughnuts You bringin that BOW CANDY with you this year again??
  24. Nice job
