  1. Anyone know if i can claim deductions for my residence, camp and boat that is slipped all summer? Boat is 27 feet has full head, fridge, oven and microwave and shore power. Are you limited to one so called "summer home"? Thanks for any help
  2. Ray you make me laugh. Hank I have a 25 horse envinrude that will only run on high idle. I have exhausted my marine mechanic capabilities with it. I would love for you to fix it. I want to put it on a boat I am outfitting for my boys. Where are you located?
  3. Bingo triple creek. Camp is about 150 yards south of ellis point. We were right in front of the camp and to the north 50 yards. If I ever get the nerve to go offshore from camp 100 yards we could shoot all we want
  4. Welcome to the site
  5. very nice
  6. Pete, the conditions have to be right. Who are you kidding? You would shoot ducks in a local park in a heartbeat. No crown royal but I did have a pretty good headache from a couple red and whites. Those first few shots at ducks hurt.
  7. Brutal cold temp and winds. North west winds means decoying redheads on our spot on Cayuga Lake. We had to adjust our game plans because of the shifting ice and conditions. Some makeshift snow camo to break our outlines up did the trick. We killed a pile of redheads and could have taken many more. A few Goldeneyes too. Two redheads were banded. One drake and one hen. We had an absolute blast!!!
  8. Axion, yes it is comfortable. A gas heater sure is a nice touch. 12' foot long and 5' wide with metal roof covered in canvas. like home
  9. THANKS PETE! I knew I liked you. I dont know who I could hear laughing harder you or Sputter
  10. It has been real spotty for us up there this year. I have not personally been up much. My nephew has. He has done real good offshore in my buddies boat just north of camp. There is a huge advantage to being offshore in a boat which I have the ability to do but not the stones to do it anymore. We picked away at a few. The weekend I was up, there was an onshore gale force wind producing decoy rolling waves which was tough hunting conditions. New birds in now though. Should be a great weekend to get out. I dont know if I can get out yet or not. Last weekend for the Western zone.
  11. I wont be busting anyones balls about docking their boat until I get mine down to a science. I provided some good dock entertainment backing my tub in last year. I lost reverse due to a linkage adjustment in my starboard engine, so backing a twin with one engine in reverse can be comical with a breeze. We will have plenty of bumpers "out" when Jim pulls his in for the first time however.
  12. Brain, Jim on the red dock could prove to be pretty scary.I heard the same thing regarding the DSC. I have the capability on my radio but I have not tried to hook it up. I would like to however.
  13. Heres a shot of our shore blind. It had some more brush on it but the gale force winds blew some off. Missing from photo is my youngest son Liam, he must have beeen hiding below or prowling around the beach.
  14. LMAO. You got that right..
  15. Pete, I would pull you out of the drink if I could troll close enough to you. I might have to take a wide turn to avoid tangles and make another attempt at you. You better have a life vest on might take a while.
  16. There has been thousand of snow geese on cayuga lake in the last two weeks tward the north end. Ton of fresh flight ducks came in yesterday also. Broadbills, redheads, whistlers, buffleheads, blacks and mallards.
  17. Yes, I got mine off Tangier island in the middle of the Chesapeake bay
  18. WOW! I had a Drake Pintail and a Drake Eurasian Widgeon at the taxidermist to have done but his place burned along with my birds. if I ever get another Pintail I will give you a call. Never will get another crack at a Eurasian again I doubt. Nice work!
  19. Will let you know on the 26th when the late season opens. Will be blasting on the northeast side
  20. I have to agree with the deer herd being down in NY. I dont care what anyone says those damn coyotes take a toll on the fawns in the spring. Every year it gets worse. I hunt primo private acreage surrounded by good crops planted and natural. I did manage to kill a good buck. I bet I didnt see ten deer all season.
  21. 40 here. 41 in MAY EIGHT YEARS YOUNGER THAN THAT DIRTY OLD MAN ON THE LAM!
  22. Always my fear when shooting a doe. It can be tough to rule out a button buck. Dont sweat it, it happens. Awesome shot by the way. You make that shot with the front stuffer in your buck picture? Or was that a rifle barrel on that gun?
  23. Welcome aboard. glad to have ya
  24. What a buck! Nice job. I love to still hunt also. Conditions are usually not condusive though. Good job!
