  1. Billy, I want to get in contact with you to ask you about what exactly you used and how you applied your bottom paint. I want to put a barrier coat on and then bottom paint in the spring. You did an awesome job on yours
  2. Would have to be a tie between watching Pete from ON THE LAM get a hook jerked out of his finger dockside or watching all the interest and intrigue that Jersey Jim from DOUBLE JJ created when he put his boat up for sale on the dock for a very reasonable price. I still owe all of you guys including Elk eating Frank for that nasty dead salmon you lashed to my swim platform. Stay tuned next year fellas.
  3. Had to blow the funk off the hull before I tackle bottom painting the hull in the spring. I put my little man Liam on the task. He gives 100 percent effort in everything he does and usually at a speed just slightly below warp speed. He power washed for a long time until I gave him a break. Blew off lots of zebra mussels off the outdrives also. It is rerady to be sanded and painted in the spring. Thanks LIAM
  4. Suprised you cant see Pete and Jersey Jim tying off a rotten salmon to my swim platform!
  5. I like the scotty. Seems to be a bit bigger and tougher than Big Jons. I did not notice any greater blowback from the slighter greater diameter.
  6. The second picture shows a sweet looking amberjack in the background.
  7. Im there too
  8. Thanks for the ideas and places to start guys. Keep in mind though that this problem does not exist when all the batteries are around 65 percent or better. I will check on the battery isolators L&M. PETE you aint seen nothin yet. I can do that on the way to work. Fishtails I absolutely love my Amberjack. It handles big water excellent. I love the twin engines (fast if I need it) the back deck and equally love the cabin and all its comforts of home. I have been tossing around the idea of selling her and getting something just a few years newer and possibly a touch bigger. I know where a nice 30' weekender is.
  9. Ok I hate to admit defeat when it comes to wrenching on my own boat but.... I have a situation that maybe someone can give me ideas that I have not thought of. I have a Searay Amberjack with twin 5.7 260 hp mercs with electronic igintion The boat has a bridge with full dual station. I have an automatic onboard charger which stopped working mid summer and that is when and why I noticed the problem. Heres my problem: After having the boat slipped and unused for a couple of days there seems to be a draw on the batteries. Not to the point where the batteries are dead but register on the gauges at about 50 percent or better. (boat is plugged in to shore power when slipped at the dock) Both engines with crank over and sound like they are rolling over with plenty enough battery to fire up, but neither engine will fire. If I go up on the bridge and hit the key (s) both engines will fire and run fine. If I run it for a short time and charge up the batteries and use the boat I never have another issue and can start it at the main helm with no problem until the next time I go back up to the boat. Is there some type of ignition amplifier that could be bad? I really want to get this fixed before next season. Thanks for any help you have to offer.
  10. Praying for ya man. Hang in there
  11. Looks like he spent some time on the RED dock before he decided to go launch her!
  12. Good seeing you Bob. Good job on landing a couple fish in some serious tough conditions. We did not bother to go out Sunday a.m. at all. Got home early for once. We never had a release all weekend. Made for good beer drinking conditions however
  13. We are heading to Oswego tonight to give it a try for the weekend. Why not? It will be a long winter waiting to fish. Hope to see some of you there.
  14. Musky, That can be a very nice perk also.
  15. Hey Musky, You feel bad that I have $40,000.00 in school loans at a rate of 8% plus? How about the required 4 years under graduate work plus 1 year mandatory masters degree I had to get to start out at $31,000.00 a year. Dont forget about the fun of teaching some of these high school kids who desperately need a smack. You cant light them up like they could when we were in school. We also need the summer "off" for mental stability. Dont get me wrong, I love my job, and it has some really nice perks too. However, it aint as gravy of a job as you might think.Thats why so many red and whites are prescribed. Missed you on the red docks this year Bob. The boys were looking for you. Might be up this weekend for one last trip.
  16. Happy birthday. H ave a couple for me.

  18. I had a 22' '96 seaswirl i/o walk around cuddy. I loved it. I eventually had a motor issue and went through 4 Jasper reman's before I traded it. It rode really nice and served us well. We outgrew it and went bigger.
