  1. Billy, looks like both models have ample amount of gunnel height to me. Alloutdoorsman I have a 1996 21.50 seaswirl striper hardtop that is posted on freshwaterboats.com She has lots of new work and fully rigged. Give it a look. Thanks guys.
  2. Pennfish, I have looked at a couple prohunter's online is all. The ones I saw had the 454 engine in them. I would prefer twin 6's like offered in some of the Amberjacks. I know a 454 can/will use less fuel than a 350 which is working harder. Thanks for the help guys. If we get close to spring, I will hang on to mine for another season. My power plant and outdrive are 100 % anyway
  3. Fishtails, thanks for the help. I have already ruled that boat out. The straight six engines are a good engine to aviod. Aluminum blocks and steel heads. Weird alternator or lack of an traditional alternator in those too. I am looking at two Amberjacks in Michigan. So I will travel for the right rig. Yankee Troller, that is a bummer about the c-stalker! It is a bit out of my price range anyway! That sucks that we are competing for the same type of boat. I need to bribe Billy to send the good ones he finds to me before you! Good luck and any I find that wont work for me I will send your way.
  4. Why do they use those mooching reels for trolling for salmon in Alaska and such? Just an ultra light rig or what?
  5. If you seperate equipment, I would be interested in that Furuno 582
  6. You are used to seeing three of everything anyway Ray! Have another one!
  7. I think that 150 bucks is cheap insurance against all the nasty stuff that 1 1/2 year old gas can do to a engines system. Engines that run seamingly perfect in the driveway on muffs can run completely differently while under power and load on the water. This could translate to way more money and more importantly time fishing. I would not want to risk a trip/day/weekend on it myself. I also use stabil when I store my boat for the winter. Just my thoughts. Good luck.
  8. I would drain it and rinse out with a few gallons of new gas. Slosh it around good (trailer it or rock it back and forth to get rid of that old gas that can varnish and adhere to the sides of the tank. I have seen it look like a sheet film of plastic. Too much hassle to risk running that stuff in your carbs/injectors/pumps,etc.
  9. I know I dont want to see that camo thong with you packed into it prancin' around on the pulpit! Your posts keep me laughing! Keep them coming!
  10. Not too mention the other sites I visit!!
  11. Thanks Lee. I talked to the owner yesterday. I may arrange to see the boat in the near future.
  12. I find 3" 12 gauge #2's work well! Chesapeake Bay retriever wouldnt even retrieve them. Hate them too! Line them up on the break wall in Oswego and the .300 may take a few out in one well placed round!
  13. Does this have a trailer? What is the beam? How are the stringers?
  14. You have a pm
  15. Verizon. Crappy coverage at home area, but thats not where I need it. I have great service in areas were I need it.
  16. I was just down there duck hunting a couple weeks ago. The duck guides do some rock fish (striper) fishing. I guess it is pretty hot. Where about are you going out of? I was off of Christfield Maryland.
  17. Looks nice. I am going to be putting in a permanent dock this winter also. Did you or are you supposed to get any permits or anything? I was considering just banging it out in a day and hoping for the best. Are those blue barrels secured with concrete? Where exactly are you located on Cayuga? I am on Ellis point just north of the bluffs.
  18. Man, nice new rig. I would hate to have to drill any holes in that baby! Consider a thru hull transducer?
  19. Do those crocks come with a pink thong! Christ sakes would I take a razzin' if I got caught in a pair of those. My kids love them however. I see a serious ankle injury everytime I see those things.
  20. Does this boat have an engine cover in the back? Could you send some additional pics? How big is the engine?
  21. Thanks for the heads up. I reserved mine!
  22. Chenango County ****kickers for me! Smooth soled grabs the deck well. If it is rainy and nasty, sperry rubber boots with boats shoe soles!
  23. Eric, sorry for the crappy river report. I didnt think it was that bad. But again I really didnt stop and check it out real good. Glad you salvaged the day though. Sorry to screw you up.
  24. I am interested for the 9th. The weekend of the first is my anniversary. Major problem last year for me
