Two battery set up through a perco switch. On board charger hooked directly to batteries, not through perco. When installing batteries, perco off and charger not plugged in, I get a momentary spark on the ground wire to battery. Will not do it again unless you leave ground wire off for a short time. Then it will do it again. Am I just seeing a diode in my charger loading or do I have a problem? Sent from my SM-G955U using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Was thinking 4350 or also h1000. I'm sure I will come up with a good load. Gonna start about 10 off the lands. Do the bergers like that or do they like to jump more? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
May get after deer a bit with it but mostly hoping to use it on yotes. Was hoping to get some powder recommendations if possible Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Picked up a 243 winchester. Plan on trying 105 bergers. Anyone have any experience with this cartridge and bullet combo? Sent from my SCH-I545 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
You're not gonna get to 3200 with a 120 grain bullet in the 08. Lucky to see 3000. Not knocking the 08 it's a very versatile round. The 257 is in a class of its own as a deer, antelope or sheep gun with 110 to 120 grain bullets. The 08 does alot of stuff fairly well, the 257 weatherby does what it does very well. Definitely going to reload. A bunch of the 1000 yd guys are shooting the 7 and 300 shorts from rem and winchester. Seems to be a very efficient round. Planning on shooting the new Hornady 178 eldx bullet.

Any thoughts on this cartridge for deer, elk etc? I have no experience with it at all. Thanks for any thoughts.

I've mounted 2 bsa scopes. The sweet 17 and one for 22 lr. These have the yardage right on the turret after initial sight in. Both are off now. Hated them. Not clear at the higher powers and wouldn't come back to zero. Birros and Weaver are my choices for the lower dollar scopes. I like adjustable objective for close shot focus.
I have a heavy barreled marlin and love it. Bought an aftermarket trigger because the factory trigger had too much creep. Very accurate and fun to shoot. Great for the 100 to 150 yd stuff.
