Hey Brian, was checking the weather this morning and they are calling for NW all week, that should change things around and maybe keep me off the lake. Good luck in the shoot out. .

Any one notice the speed change on the south troll in around 130fow, I was up to 3.5 to 4.0 and my rigger cables were straight down and very little pull on the divers. .

Thought I should move in but I trolled out to 200fow and worked in and out ,changed lures and spin docs and flies. Starboard wire going ,set at 150ft. had it on for about 5min.then its gone. Hit mt. dew spinny and green fly. Set up and trolled some more. I think the fleas frooze to death. . put down a orange 00 dodger and pink squid,25ft.,the rigger fires and a dandy steelie comes flying out of the water and after a nice fight came to the net, nice 10-12 lbs. Called it a day about 11am. Great day on the water, getting hot time to go home. Seaya.

Nothing like sauage gravy on biskets for breakfast before hitting the lake. That will make you chum on a good day. .

Ya, I headed out of Sandy tuesday moring, 16ft. lund, got out to about 80fow and turned around , back to the trailer.three footers were starting to build and I knew they wern't going to stop there. . Hey Ray, I'll be out there in the morning, you might as well stay home unless you just want to take your son for a boat ride. .

I'm thinking some one better check with the DEC on that. I think three does not mean six.

If your short on cash and want to run dipsys run 30lb big game and stack them on the out side riggers use roemer releases or black releases on the cable. you can run them out 50 or 100ft. out from the cable.don't run out to fare or the diver woun't release. your dipsy should release before the stacker release.Use the large dipsy with the standard ring. You can run FFs or spoons off them. I don't know if the black releases can be moved up the cable like the roemer. Anybody out there know. Good luck, be safe, and keep your eyes on the sky and the wind, that end of the lake can get ruff in a hurry. . Oh stack them 10 to 20ft, above the ball. .

I freeze perch in ziplock, in water, no freezer burn, not sure how it will work with salmon .

You did good, you did all the roung things early and got it over with and now you know what to watch for. Next time it will be somthing different. Thats a nice king.

That was a good trip. I don't try to net the big ones when I'm along, get them tired out and pull them along side the boat and reach in the gills and through them in the boat. Make sure you know where the hooks are before you stick your hand in the gills.

You will have to take a 100 qt. cooler and ice and quarter your deer on the spot so it dosn't spoil and I allso think the DEC has plans for the later part of the season. Early BP and crossbow. Juess we'll have to wait and see.
