Trolled out to 100fow no hits, switched up some lures and put out sliders, One rigger down 45 and one 70fow. First hit came on slider and got off, next same slider small king, two more hits on same slider, an other small king and another got off. Lure MJ-DW. Went out to 225fow and worked back in, no more hits Called it a day around noon. Not manny boats out fishing or catching. No hits on divers. ====================

Don't feel like your alone, we got out this morning about 7:30 the 18th, the wind out of the south and it was cold. We set up in 50fow looking for salmon, two riggers and to divers, I didn't feel like running boards, ran a long line down the shoot.Trolled out to 175fow, didn't mark anything, trolled back into 70fow and headed west back to the bay about noon.We did mark balls of bait in about 20fow on the way in.the water color looked good west of the bay up to the the river. We never had a hit and it looked like the other boats weren't setting the world on firer. Nice day out there. .

'Hey Skipper, your right, there hog fish. Fishing on Canadagua lake with two friends fishing sawbellys and I was jigging, one of them had a fish playing with his bait when I had a hit and reeled in a laker with my jig and his sawbelly, it happen three time's that day. .

Tcon, The boat handled it well. Three to five's will get you very wet but handles them. .

Don't you love that cold spray on your face, wakes you up in a hurry. .

Lure Depth: 15 to 30 ft. ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS We got on the bay about 8am and ran out to 45fow and set up heading east, to riggers to dipsie one flat line, no boards. ran into the wind 2.4. first hit came on the port rigger down 25ft.,nice king about 8lbs. Set back up and worked that area for a while,went out to 70ft. and back to 40. Next hit was the diver on bottom . got free reset divers( lure change) at 100ft. and 50ft. next hit was on the diver out 100ft., nice jumping king, got him in the net after about four tries.It was about 15lbs. set back up and the rigger fired again on the evil eye, it got into the wire but we got it free before it cut the line, got him in the net and called it a day. He was pushing 20lbs, dandy spring king. Its hard to believe we went out May 2 for kings and got three. It got a little snotty out there but all in all it was a good trip. Sorry about the picture, I had to reset my cell, maybe it will be better next time. . ====================

When they are running you can get all you want out of the Oswego river on the west side with a smelt net. They should be in soon if not now. Good luck.

I tryed to run 600' of wire plus backer and had a solmon run out about 590' on the first run, I could see the knot. The next run the knot cough on the twilly tip and broke off. . 600' of wire, diver,spindoc and fly gone. Thats about $70 out the window.that afternoon I stopped at Dicks and found 1000' of 7strand for $29.00. Remember if you let out 300' of wire to get down 80'to 100' a good fish will ripe the knot through the tip and even a little hangup will break you off.Good luck.

Thats a dandy fish and a winner besides. I got lucky last year and took a 14lber, no derby . .

If your going to live close to the lake drive down and take a look,but check the reports to make sure a change isn't on the way.
