  13. Like Gill-T said it's weird out there at night. I tried it a few times out of Oswego harbor and it was pitch black out there, no moon. It was the last day of the ESLO and I wasn't in it so I wen't out at night out side the break wall in forty or fifty fow, with silver spoons up high, two lines out maybe 50=75ft. back. When I hook up that's all you could hear was the reel screaming while I cleared the other line, I knew I was about out of line, anyhow I grabbed the rod and the fight was on, not very long though, the fish swam right in to the boat and right into the net, about a 25lber. I was happy with one fish so I packed up and headed in.Even with lights on you don't know if the 30-40fter coming your way sees you, a good spot light would be handy in a 16ft, boat. I'd say give it a try. Good luck and be safe. .
  14. Are there fleas over there in Erie? Thanks.
  15. Good luck.
  16. Hey Bill, that was a banner day you had. I wanted to go east but the wind made it a bad ride in my boat.Without down speed I have to do a lot of north-south trolling instead of east, and ended up west of the river. .
  17. They don't have them at Bayside, I use to Net my own in the spring and freeze them.
  18. I saw the same thing on Cross Lake, I think he was looking for a nice duck to eat.
  19. Wish I had that problem on the big lake yesterday, we had all your wind up there. Oh, nice catch.
  20. It really wasn't that bad, the small boat just goes up and down, the worst part is getting soaking wet when your running. You want to have your life jacket on, you stumble around a lot setting lines. It was mostly Two to three footers with a four now and then. the boat handle's them well. The hard part is finding someone to go out with you.
  21. I've got a old 30lb thrust you can have if you can get a prop for it. Its a transom mount. It was working.
  22. What channel will you all be using, the Vhf is so quit on the big lake I don't know if it works give me a shout, call name is white whale. Good luck Sunday.
  23. I've been reading all the reports on the wonderfull fishing and it driving me nuts because the wind is keeping me off the lake, the north or northeast or north west wind is not good for a 16ft. boat. Yesterday I took a chance and headed out of I Bay about 6am and headed north west to keep the waves from soaking us, I shut down at 100fow and lowered the temp probe, about 40ft down I had forty deg.water so I setup the rigger and two wire rods with spin doc and flies and spoons on the rigger, went out to 160fow and started east at 1.8 to 3.0 depending on the direction of troll. I set everything high, 50ft. with a slider on the rigger and 100 to 150 0n the wires. I never marked fish or bait, got one skipper bow on the slider, quit about 11:00. I'd like to know if anyone else out there had temp in that range and was marking fish from west of the genny to I Bay in 160 to 75fow? My F-F gives me a good bottom reading and I marked the ball down to 60ft. Thanks for reading , I wanted to run up to the oak but I didn't want to burn the gas and not be able to get on the lake. Oh, I forget to mention I didn't find any Fleas.
