  5. Pete, I still have have a "one eyed jack" and now a possible addition of a ONE HORNED UNICORN to the magic kingdom !!!! Ray i hunted other farm with 20 nusaince permits. NOT FUN at all. want no part of that this year. Close up pic of missing rt side. What you think canuck? looks knocked clean off his head.
  6. Thanks K,(33canuck) After looking threw some earlier pics I found these 2 bucks before in JUNE 15th same bucks again with rt horns missing then. Looks like i will be seeing a BIG UNICORN this season. Thanks again for the info. Is,nt it funny how they pattern around same time stamps on pictures together, weeks apart this early on before we even consider it to be deer season yet.
  7. I know it is early BUT i visited one of the properties we hunt (with new MEGA FOOD PLOTS this year-/corn,soy,pumpkins) I noticed a buck on the cameras that LOST its total right set of horns early July. Still in velvet and growing is the left side. QUESTION: will anything grow back on the right side this year? and if not would you make him off limits on the property fall hit list? Thanks AS USUAL to the knowledge on this sight you guys give. Jerry RUNNIN REBEL I have a good video of him here so i am sure of the missing rt. side
  8. The US side of the lake is always last in BIG king migrations moving east. (if @ all---Canadien stocks---pen reared MUCH earlier---then released to FEED all EARLY spring @ Niagara feeding trough/summer off eastern Canadien shoreline then back west to Toronto/port credit area). These fish were caught @ Whitby tourney in Canada in June this year. The winning team AVERAGED 10 kings that were same size/bigger than L.O.C. GRAND PRIZE fish. In only 2 days of fishing. Last year winning average was #27-#28 pounds for 10 kings & biggest being over #37 pounds. ALL CAUGHT IN JUNE ! Canadien TEAM PRESSMAN #35 1/2 pounds-had hatchery nose tag also that Candien O.M.N.R cut out. Matt--OH BABY w/#30 plus king Big King the Canadien O.M.N.R. cut off hatchery nose tag. Big kings are out there now with the majority still in Canadien waters UNTILL NOW !!!!!!! Jerry RUNNIN REBEL
  9. Rick, I have that Canadien operators card also, along with pass port and charter license (orange book ) and Canadien fishing license and 3 year Canadien license card, And my NY REGISTRATION number IS IN THEIR SYSTEM (RUNNIN REBEL in Whitby LAST YEAR), and my vehicles were in the "CAN-PASS" quick entry system. All said I was held up over 2 hours in the same Whitby tourny as O BABY. They looked for Mace-Pepper spray-HAIR SPRAY-meats -vegtables-alchohol- AND FORGET ABOUT A FLARE GUN (which is 12 gauge). We passed after MANY QUESTIONS by me. BUT CANADA GOT THE LAST LAFF . .. ... 1gallon gas = 3.78 litres .... $1.39 dollars per litre (@ a government controlled marina-supposedly cheaper) .... 1gallon =$5.25 CANADIEN DOLLARS ..... $5.25 Canadien conversion to U.S. dollars ===== ==== $5.41 U.S. per gallon !!!!!!!!!!! NO LABELS ON GAS PUMP-so i ask......87 octane w/...ETHANOL LAST LAFF $5.41 gallon for poor fuel. Jerry RUNNUN REBEL
  10. WOW when we wrote that article in GLA magazine I thought my fishing buddies only looked at the pictures. (NOTE TO SELF: next article we do use BIGGER WORDS) Broad horizon Andy EACH unit has distinct advantages for ALL boat controll conditions. You would not want 2 units collecting data exactly the same variables ( 1 unit changes info gradualy-GREAT for RUFF WATER/BOAT CONTROLL conditions-Waves pushing boat forward EVERY BIG WAVE and other process temp FAST-great for pinpointing down breaks & currents-calm water.) That is just a couple advantages of 2 different info collecting variables. RUNNIN-REBEL Jerry
  11. Paul good thought for 3 of the Pro-Ams BUT it could not be done with Oswego County Pro-Am borders. You could only fish the harbor east and under 250' of water. Cayuga county border due north eliminates most water off the college west. RUNNIN REBEL (Yes RUNNIN-rebel----NOT County troller--- for us) Also FREE spirit ONLY in 1 county is an OXYMORON...i think????? i will ask Larry or Pat later. RUNNIN-REBEL Jerry
  12. Hans great catch and report. That is realy a beautifull Atlantic and nice work on that tourny winning BIG fish and placing. Congrats to you and Mark(by the way nice work also on the shirts and breast cancer awareness) Best of luck to you and crew as i believe Don and dad get a "higher up kick" out of us still going strong out here. RUNNIN-REBEL Jerry
  13. Rick GREAT REPORT as usual. Good to see your Dad again, and see you east soon. RUNNIN-REBEL Jerry
  14. Bill and crew GREAT job THIS YEAR!!! You are part of the guy,s on here that your reports ARE REALY good and I need to learn from. See you East end. RUNNIN-REBEL Jerry
  15. Ok guys in a nut shell we had no pre-fish time so we started fishing BIG FISH fri from Hamlin Beach all the way west to the oak. We started on the DEEP down salmon in 160-280 ft of water fishing 160 down with flashers/cut bait -never moved a rod . Switched up to spin dr./whole alewives same deep set with mag spoons down deep also, again no hits. We did not see the deep 180-230++fish down there that was available week prior. Ended up fishing 30-66 ft down and keeping 2 small teen kings and threw a 10 pd.bow and 10pd. king back (that was a mistake thinking next kicker fish would be our box) ended up with small kings in that 75-95 ft of water off the flats east of the Oak. Sat ran east to hamlin beach again to fish back west 120-180 range and slow picked kings and bows. Always watching bottom for the lakers. Once located 95-110 ft west of devils nose we picked the 2 lakers fairley quick on bottom. Decided to check some brown waters and found bait ALOT of bait inside 65 ft of water in. took awhile to pick some FULL browns in those conditions.Swung deep again for the king/bow pick BUT ONLY boxed 11 (3 browns-3-kings-3 bows -2 lakers). Sun. same strategy we thought BUT conditions changed-unstable cooler water moved in and winds came up quick. So we decided browns first and landed 3 then went north looking to the king/bow play again mainly because boat controll was tuff on our brown program. in 95-100 ft range only took 1 king so we started picking up set to run when BIG BOW grabbed a 10 core while taking board off, . MAN did that fish crash threw wave upon wave. With only 2 mid water silvers to show and brown plan A washed up, we went to Laker time mode. ONLY PROBLEM they moved in and up off bottom with cooler water coming in and inshore bait rising and coming out (cloud cover and 3-4 ft waves played in as well). So we decided to hit the lakers with spoons high. It worked but the size was smaller 6-8 pd "spoon chasers" Not the 16+ pd. goliath laker bottom class from day before. With that done we picked up FAST to stay away from the lakers we were seeing in our mid water set. Decided to hit deeper set of browns again & again till we boxed out 40-65 ft area . FISHING CONDITIONS WERE OPPOSITE BOTH DAYS. Program & presentation were more important than content this tournament. For us it was a constant change up of spoons/size & colors(we did not have any one hot color for both days). mostly 28 size & mags. (I know it is ALWAYS a spoon bite for us) :NOTE TO SELF & TEAM---work on that--- With NO-COMM it made it easier to focus on the progressions we always normaly go threw and team made quicker decisions and execution on them. Thanks AGAIN to my team and all you guy's for the nice kudos to us. IT IS MUCH APPRECIATED. EVERYONE who commented above I have personal memories with(NJ Pete & Matt being the newest) and thats why I enjoy the TOURNAMENTS so much. RUNNIN-REBEL Jerry
  16. SYNERGY is a great word to describe our team (no offense Synergy boy Nick) Here is the sum of our parts Here is the TOTAL TEAM EFFORT **** Thank you Chris Kenyon & Pro-Am for picture**** RUNNIN-REBEL Jerry P.S. I will get to catching part post tonite. SHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH @ work now
  17. Iceman we run the Depth raider high in the main pattern and the X-4 is the bottom of the set in the temp we are targeting OR it is WAY DEEP for that 40 degree water hunt. EITHER way X-4 is always the shoot rigger to back up the main set. RUNNIN REBEL Jerry
  18. Thanks Matt. Your the guy I thought of putting him in the cooler. NOTICE Pat & Rob like Gaurd dogs !!!!!!!!!! in 3-4 foot waves. & Larry on Boat controll manuevers ALL DAY! GREAT JOB to my crew (before-during and after my DISCUSSIONS ) RUNNIN REBEL Jerry
  19. 1st. I will really try to make time/figure out the picture thing AGAIN ! Here is the only pic i could download of Rainbow we got that was #20 plus change pounds when he came over the transom. Story /details to follow for a change. (i at least owe a "GOOD" report because of the FANTASTIC REPORTS on here ALWAYS by the Yankee Trollers & Billy V's & Devonion,s ) GREAT HONEST REPORTS you guy's. ====================
  20. Tall Tails has hit this debate DEAD ON !!! We have run 2 temp/speed gauges (same time)for years now and Brian is correct on all those numbers/advantages. He was our dockmate at Niagara Pro-Am. IT is all relative! Blow back problems ? NOT AT ALL. We run 6 riggers (most trips mid-June on) on a 10' beam Penn Yan. Our High/Low set involves both probes down 70'-90' AND 130' +++++ same time. If you are ever in Hilton/Hamlin area SANDY CREEK is our home port. We would be happy to let you see try before you buy on our boat. RUNNIN REBEL Jerry
  21. Pete/Vince, Thanks AGAIN for the No COMM. effort (the way it was & should be & is in the SCOTTY"s-WHI). Howie I hope you are talking about the AM division and not Pro RUNNIN REBEL Jerry
  22. Andy the observer and team member had to talk because they did not sign a NO COMMUNICATION AGREEMENT. Why follow a boat if you have NO idea what they are catching (both good & bad ). Slab that is a terrible situation that happened to you but remember it is you/team VERSUS the lake ! (told to me many years ago by wiley tourn. pro). Good luck Runnin Rebel Jerry
  23. Will you take Venison for trade. I have deer bacon that makes the best D.B.L.T.'s EVER !!! Jerry
  24. Sorry Scott, I had you down for ONLY $2700. I forgot about the new VHF radio your team took home also. Your lucky you did not place 4th-10th place. That would have cost you -35 % in taxes @ least !
