  1. Walt: Sorry I will not sell any of my items to you. PH Pike Hunter, I love the above quote!
  2. What gives? Some of my friends made the board so I have been watching it closely. I think they bumped off the (at one time) #2 fish and now my friends are 1 place higher. Anyone know anything?
  3. we stayed at the campground until the water went out. were you staying in one of the cabins on the main road. Smaller islander? if so...its in great shape. I hope to get some kind of refund. That sucked. What a hot sticky week!
  4. I hope they have the water back on in Selkirk by now. A week ago the water was still out. We were taking our family vacation 2 weeks back. Came back from the beach in the afternoon and no water in the whole campground. They brought in portipotties for all the cabins. We bailed to Port Ontario Lodge. We are hoping we get some kind of refund. Call and make sure the water problem is fixed before you go.
  5. The Dick-s here in Mass. by the ocean has a bunch of large purple dipseys with black rings. I find that very funny. Who was the dip-stick that ordered them?
  6. Seriously, Pike Hunter is legally deaf and does a really good job of salmon fishing. I fished with him this past Oswego Scotty. I told him he still needs a radio on his boat for the rest of us that can hear and can make a distress call in the case of an emegency. He can still call out his GPS coordinates if he needed to.
  7. Try Jon's down in Mexico right before the state launch. Best prices. Great stinger selection. Has all the good stuff.
  8. I know the owner and it is sold.

  11. I will be in the area from starting 8/15. I take my fishing seriously and have been fishing competively for a handful of years now. Several years of Pro/Am's, LSRC 3x. I have fished for Team Seaducktion (current member), Team Dreamchaser, Team Savant Spoon and Team Horstplay...All of whom are not in the Scotty. Willing to share expenses of course. Please call 508-612-2959 or email [email protected] Most recent offer fell through due to Captain not realizing the date was the same as his anniversary.

  15. Port Ontario Lodge in Pulaski is a short ride from Mike's Marina. Good clean rooms with cable. Lots of different capacity room options. Deer Creel Motel in Pulaski. A bit longer of a ride. 3 beds per room. Fair price and basic satelite. I was warned about Sticks Motel a while back, they have live music and it can be loud. Not sure if this is so, just what I was told. I stayed a Catfish many years back in one of the acient trailers...Hmmmm...stay away unless things have changed.
  16. All Seasons in Pulaski has them.
  17. CF Check out www.fishlakewinni.com if you already havent. It's a great site from up in NH. They are using some different spoons over there. Check out the Top Guns, DB Smelts, Savants spoons - winni wonder and Jake 45. There are links to a few tackle shops. AJ's bait and tackle and Paugus Bay sports. I know both owners and they will ship orders to you. Just ask. Some great info is shared on that site. It's just a bit primative the way the site is laid out. Click on the message board link and you will see what I mean. Remember, this is a great site too and please come back and keep us posted on how you are doing.
  18. Billy Bones, As for the Lisc. go to All Seasons in Pulaski. I know they sell them there. I bet Fat Nancy's in Pulaski does as well. Not sure where you are launching, I would launch from Mexico Point State launch. Great facilities, great ramp, docks, bathroom if you need it. There is a great tackle shop called: Jon's Little Salmon River right on th main road before turning onto the road that has the state launch. Great prices and they can tell you what the hot bites are on. Mikes marina and Salmon Country both have gas and docks for rent if you dont want to trailer your boat. Plus ask the charter captains whats happening out there for them. This area is right in the middle of some great areas. Head left out of the chute and there are some great creeks that come into the lake, Catfish being one. The high rock area is a good area to fish as well as the bouy line out front of the Nuke plant. STAY ON THE DEEP SIDE OF THE BOUYS for your sake. Going right out of the chute has some good feeder creeks as well. Grindstone being one. The Salmon river is down that way as well. Good luck, have fun and be safe. Let us know how you do!
  19. From what I was told, Its gonna be right at Jon's Tackle shop. Its right before you turn on the road to the Mexico Point state boat launch. Cant miss it. You can fish from whatever port you wish, you just have to bring your fish to the weigh in by a certain time to get weighed in. Hope to see you there.
  20. As a previous owner of a C80, the answer is yes. I had the C80 and ran GPS and the fishfinder module on it. At the time I wish I had the $$ for the radar as well. Very nice unit, you will be happy.
  21. Great report Plummy Boy/ Keep them coming. Trollmaster and the Controllking are basically the same thing. One is Analog and the other digital. I prefer the controls on the Controllking myself. It has a dial on it. Take a look at it and you know exactly how much "more or less" throttle you have to use. Rich D. is now the NY Rep. for Controllking. He can give better pricing than what is posted on the Controllking.com website. Email or PM Rich D. (Seaducktion) for a quote for your kicker and save yourself some $$$$.
  22. Jamie Abel is the owner and is a great guy. Tell him what you are looking for and I bet he has it in the shop or in his "stash" some where. He was a charter captain for many years and I believe was sponsored by many tackle Co's along the way.
  23. Ray, The smelt spawn in creeks and streams up here in New England. I imagine they do the same out your way. With the lamprecide they are putting down in the creeks and rivers.....maybe they are killing the eggs as well. Maybe the area remains too toxic for the fragile smelt eggs to fertalize. Just a hunch... You should see what they have done in Maine to try and get a healthy population of smelt back into Sebago Lake. It all revolves around catching sea run smelt and introducing the eggs into fresh water. Too long for me to type what they do here. It all done by a volenteer group with the State giving them an OK to do so.
  24. I have seen this boat and have drooled on my shoes staring at it. Dont tell anyone.
