Chamberlain releases are the best in my mind. Love the design and we almost never have a dink fish being dragged along. They take a small amount of time to dial them in to the proper setting, but once you do you will not look at another release. Have been using them for years and they work great.

Hated the drags on the 800 so I went with Tuna Toms drags. Much better now. Just my 2 cents and a for Tuna Toms service.

I think that call that "Pooching". A form of Poaching. Not sure, need to check with DEC.

So sorry for your loss. It so hard to lose a family member, even the dogs in our lives. Labs are great pets and there are many that need to be rescued too. When the time is right, please look at the ones that need to be rescued as well. Tight lines Brian.

Jeff, I had to watch the video again to see the "almost" hit to the hard top. That could have been bad. Love my rods that you built for me and Jordan. Would love a set of lite BT rods next. If I only had the extra $$. Someday.

Watch the newbie direct the fish right into the net. That's how it is done! Note the spiral wraps on the rod. These rods are awesome. See the Fish Doctor out of Oswego NY for a short stick for yourself. I have the Short Sticks for both browns and kings. 2 of them are Kid Sticks with the spiral wrap.

I have 2 of the 7 foot Fish Doctor "kids sticks". We used one of them over the weekend and the 2 other guys on the boat commented on how nice it was to fish a shorter rod and they did like the spiral wrap design. Jeff makes a great rod. I own 7 of his custom rods now. Shhhh.....Dont tell the wife!

The ****ty economy and many other factors make people do this. We had our family cabin in Minn. broken into many years ago. The thief's got caught because they even stole the hand made kitchen curtains that my grandmother had special ordered the material. My grandfather used to walk to work and take different routes from time to time. Doesnt he see the curtains hanging up in a house. Well they got caught. Dumbasses. After that break in. We had special hiding places built into closet paneling. Things like booze and the hand gun for defense would go in there. Any valuables while staying there would go there too. Sorry you got stolen from. Hope they get their time in jail!!

I would cast my vote for Chamberlains. They are the balls!! Nothing better that I have seen. I used to be a Blacks fan...not any more.

I have made my version using a GoPro and a trolling housing that is similar to something that is already out there. Are you using a GoPro camera by chance or something different?

Great report Rod. Wish I could have been there. Seems to me that you and I have fished the north Dunes and caught 1 fish there....do you remember?

Stayed at the Port Lodge this past weekend. Not the same without the old owners. The language barrier was a bit of a problem. The bed I has was concave even before I got in it. How about getting some new beds? It did the job but for the price.....? Maybe there are better options.

Why browns when kings are around? Just asking.
