  1. Hi Chris, this is probably a stupid question, but if i download Humminbird OneBoat to my phone, will it show my boat on the map (so i can see where i am relative to the contour lines)? many thanks, andre
  2. Hi all, i also posted this on the Lake Ontario section (i figured some folks don't check all parts of this forum): I will be visiting Lake Champlain for the first time Sept 19-22 (camping near Plattsburgh - on Valcour Island). 1. Do you know how i can obtain a map with depth contour lines of the lake? (I don't have a navionics card) 2. Keeping in mind that will be in the northern half of the lake (west/NY side) in a 17' boat, any advice regarding trolling for LLs, jigging for lakers, or casting for bass would be GREATLY APPRECIATED! (feel free to PM me) I am not able to get this far away more than once a year, so i won't be burning up any of your favorite spots thank you very much, Andre

  4. Hi all, The 8 acres I own and hunt on is HEAVILY wooded. There is no way to do a food plot. I used to have some wild apple trees that attracted deer, but they have all died after the gypsy moth invasion a couple years ago. I was thinking that planting apple trees could attract deer years down the road. Should I buy trees, rather than seeds? Are there specific types of apple trees that are more appealing to deer? ANY INFORMATION WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANK YOU! andre
  5. thank you Les and FTW!
  6. Is this the first year in a long time they are stocking Hemlock with rainbows? I thought it had been all natural reproduction for many years....
  7. Hi Les, I don't plan to mix different types. I'm just curious if the shape and action might be affected if the tails are not kept in "perfect" position. best, andre
  8. HI all, I'm going on a fishing trip to Vancouver Island and plan to fish the ocean from the shore. I plan to use a lot of Kietech swimbaits but space in my back pack is severely limited. The Kietechs come in a hard plastic container that preserves their shape but take up space. Do you think i will do any damage to the Kietechs if i remove them from those packs and put them all (of same the color) in ziploc bags? (this will save a lot of space for me). thanks for your input! andre

  13. Hi all, Given that muzzleloaders are not considered "guns," what are NYS laws regarding an individual (me) selling a muzzleloader. I do not think this forum allows advertising a muzzleloader for sale - correct? Any advice is appreciated. thanks, andre
