  7. I've hunted 11 days and have yet to release an arrow. Hunting out of 8N. I wash my clothes after every single hunt and am fairly meticulous with Scent control but the only shooter I've seen this year winded me at 70 yards despite my precautions Their nose KNOWS! 10. Wow - the markings on that fish are amazing! Absolutely beautiful! dre
  11. the problem is that all game sold in restaurants are from game farms, which have been documented as the primary problem with regard to Chronic Wasting Disease (animals are too densely populated there, CWD spreads among them, and they escape or communicate CWD through the fences.) In addition, farm-raised venison doesn't taste nearly as good as wild venison because the latter eats close to 200 different plants. One can "taste the woods" in a wild animal; not in a farm-raised one. andre
  12. Sorry - forgot to list the selling price: $1500 andre
  13. This is an oldie but a goodie - a genuine multi-species, multi-style fishing boat. Comes with 2 downriggers, rodholders, planer board mast and planer boards - everything you need for trolling. Also has a foot-controlled Minn Kota trolling motor and Humminbird Fishfinder. Boat is set up for casting for bass, jigging for walleyes or lakers, and trolling. Comes with an optima deep cycle battery, gas tank, spare propeller, anchor, life vests, fire extinguisher -- everything you need to fish successfully! Lots of storage and the trailer has 3 new wheels and tires. This is an excellent boat for fishing Hemlock and other fingerakes. I have also fished lake Ontario many times with it and caught numerous Kings, Cohos, steelhead, browns, lakers etc. I have placed in the top 5 twice in the National Lake Trout Derby with this boat! This thing is a fishing machine! Andre 585 319 6570

  18. Alright then! When i have the grand prize fish, i will be able to pass the poly!!!! dre
  19. Hi Les, thanks for your quick response. I have never taken a polygraph test, but i hope to have to take one real soon !!!! I suppose that because it is my belief that i am not fishing until a line/lure touches the water, i would pass that question - even if i did launch at 5:15a. I'm still curious what others think on this matter. dre
  20. Hi all, A few years back, i tried to launch my boat shortly before 6am and there was about a 30 minute wait (launching line). Thus, i have begun to launch around 5:15am, head out to my areas, but not put a line in the water until 6am. Then i heard someone commenting on the "armada" of boats on the water before 6am that were breaking the start time rule. I don't see how i could be breaking that rule if i have no lines in the water. Will you give me your opinion on this? thanks, andre
  21. it's important to remember that just because one releases a fish that swims away with apparent vigor doesn't mean that fish didn't die later that day - often from exhaustion (from a long fight) or from having its gills damaged (i see so many photos on this site of people who released a fish with their hands way in the fish's gills, torquing the heck out of its gill plate, and blood streaming down it). If you guys landed 50 fish, i would bet most of what i own that you killed some fish (not that that's necessarily a terrible wrong, but it is wrong to think that because you practice C&R, that you don't kill any fish). dre
  22. Hi all, is there a certain water temperature when the bullhead bite really turns on? i'm going to try chicken livers. What size chunk do you use? about 3/4"? thanks, dre
  23. do most of you think it is a good idea to tie the chicken livers in egg sacs? Surely that will keep them on the hook better, but do you think it might get fewer bites? what size would you cut the livers - about 3/4"? thanks, dre
