take look at the torpedo diver I dont have the link but that may be your answer, you have remember copper swims over nothing! there nothing like a wire dipsey / copper tangle !expensive.

i;m on the fence too, i think you will want to look out for the weight it may make it top heavy. my boat weighs 4700ish dry
and would probably make out ok as the made the boat in both soft and hardtop ( 21ft bayliner trophy) but i just have a bimini on it now. "great lake skipper" sells hardtop frames. let me know how you make out!

If your trailer has rollers you may want to consider a winch with a brake, mine is a conventional crank type but it does have brake for " just in case". My boat weighs in about 4700lbs and will sail off the trailer if not controlled

I met a guy that that swears by this. if you like tuna fish etc. any small pan fish you catch immediately place in a bucket of ice water. upon returning home after dressing the skin should peel off with a pair of duck bill pliers, the ice water makes the skin peel easy. from that point put the fish a pot of boiling water till the meat flakes of with a fork. it works great especially good with spring suckers which are very bony any way, same goes for pickrel. The bones stay intact and all you have is flaked white meat. it makes great fish cakes! It does work!.

I had a 19ft fiberglass Sunbird that sat on bunks, it was a pain in the butt if there was any wind at all, I added side rollers and it helped marginally, I now have a 21ft fiberglass trohpy that weighs in at 4000 plus and the trailer is an "Easy Load " roller set up. The boat self aligns and is easily winched into place. So, I have expirenced both and I do prefer the roller set up. I have a a 4 ton trailer that needs some work that is available. if you interested send me a pm and I'll send some pic's right now a 22ft crestliner is sitting on it.

don't know if it works or not but a guy tld me at least for lakers hang a 6' peice of dog chain off the bottom of the ball and tie it off with 20-30-line so it drag on the bottm, you won't loose your ball if it snags just a piece of cheap chain. The brite chain bouncing off the bottom looks like a school of feeding lakers and brings on the bite as so he says.

I had the same problem. at 3200 rpms i was getting 10mph last fall, new, older boat 86 bayliner trophy/305, The prop had some dings which the vendor fixed, when they called to say it was done I asked if it was spun( this was put in the repair request) the guy said " i don't know" consequently it was spun and has been repaired.it looks and runs great now. just make sure you ask!.

i had a similar problem, but mine was that the alchohol in the fuel over time had turned the suppy line to almost sponge rubber, the hose and was collapsing on itself as the pump called for fuel after I replaced the fuel line I had no problems! but do check the the one way valve as Ray said. look for the simple things first. I had a 110 jonhson VRO that gave me me fits. If nothing else take the suggestions from this site, I took that VRO to a place just below Vest NY ( no no name) and it cost cost me $800 to fix nothing. I had to figure it out on on my own and the advice from ths site. Hank's advise is second to none.

I have have 460 ft of 30lb copper an 2 diawa 57lc's, it tworks, not the best reel for the job but for the occational user it has accounted for alot of fish!
I'm no pro by any means but copper swims over nothing. copper has a very fast sink rate and will defininately tangle with other gear if it crosses ( like if it came off a board ) i usually run it inside the riggers down the chute usually two off each corner. the worst tangle i have have had was between a wire dipsy& flie port side copper and my kicker what mess! if you run short leads off the riggers it shouldn't be problem but anything else may be a problem.

i have no idea about McMasters but I do know about goping cheap! don't do it! Use a known verified dealer/supplier . Boats as my son say's " bust out another thousand"
