You guys on this thread are Hard core for sure. The late season separates the men from the boys...and this season Separated the Vikings from the men! Great job making things happen... Good luck to all who are chasing March Honkers and snows....I'm getting the tackle ready for the Big Lake....cheers! Sent from my VS987 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Braved the wicked weather today... Took Double D (Dan DeGeorge ) out for a little extreme late season Divers. I haven't hunted this particular spot for a few years, but it turned out to be bang up... Red Heads , Mallards, and some of my favorites came out to play. Congrats to Double D ... Bull Can and a pair of Redheads... Sent from my VS987 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Thanks Kevin... Falconry is a cool sport. With I had the spare time to do it myself. My buddy spends a lot of time with his bird... I had 3 new spots to try this year....sucks because all 3 were smoke spots and they got iced out before I could hunt them... Such is life for the late season. Thanks man...Jacks did a lot better than I anticipated... Reminds me of my Parker Boy. My buddy had the Redtail last year. She got wierd as the season went on so he released her.... He has a new one this year and she's a stone cold Killer. Vicious.... I won't try to hold her...not even with the glove... She's batting 98% on squirrels so far.... Just unbelievable to watch... Now with the snow, the rabbits are in trouble.... Sent from my VS987 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Yea...they are my favorite. We specifically set upfor them... over the years I've learned Cans can be pretty wary. I will put out Bluebills and Redheads on one side and separate the Can decoys to the down wind side. They don't mind mojo's.... but they will flare at Whistler blocks.... I'm not saying my tactics are gospel, just what has worked for us in the past. Good luck guys..... about a week left. Sent from my SM-T550 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Not a stellar season, but breaking in a new hunting partner has been a treat. I got Jackson out on several hunts...all new experiences for him... Marsh hunts, field hunts, and extreme late season Diver hunting. We have some work left to do, but he seems to be catching on quickly.... Be safe out there guys Sent from my VS987 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

That's why I don't hunt those birds anymore.... Scoters can be made into slim sticks.... But old squaws are down right gross. Sent from my VS987 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Here's a story.... Friday before gun season, this Dairy farmer comes over to the camp I stay at. He Says " Well boys, its an end of an era. I bought the property. You guys are out. I will be a nice guy and allow you to get your stands." I call him on the fact he hasn't closed on the property yet ( only been for sale 2 weeks) and he has zero legal right to post it or kick us out. The guy looks around the camp and says "Well guys this used to be a nice camp....I don't want any trouble to happen...know what I mean?" I'm about to jump off the couch at this point... We ask the guy to leave.... My buddies tell me its not worth it...and they don't want any issues with the locals. Before the guy left he said there was an agreement between the landowners and him...and he sent them money already.... We called the landowner and they did have a verbal agreement, but hadn't received any payment.. Sooo.... The quest for a lease or possible land purchase starts. Man.... I feel bad for you guys.... Try having the property you have hunted for 30 years get bought out from under you by some A$$Hole ( Snuck behind my back on a bid). Get hurt the day before Gun season taking stands off the same property... Shooting hand and arm in a F-in cast .. and have to sit and read all the big buck posts.... Yea....I feel really bad for you guys....[emoji122] Sent from my VS987 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Yea....we were going to stay in Islamorada ( no brainer there...) But the hotel we were going to stay at has been cancelling reservations well into 2018. The people we are going with don't want to chance it ...so we are looking at other options..... Sent from my VS987 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

I was initally going to be in the keys on vacation next April. In light of the recent hurricane damage, we decided to rent a house in Ft.Lauderdale. Any of you guys have any info on some decent charters? Not looking for a Lake Ontario Chicken Charter type....offshore pelagics is the quarry. Cool thing is the house we are renting has a boat available, so I plan on doing some bottom fishing also.....thanks for any assistance .....Matt Sent from my SM-T550 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
