  1. Paul is right.... Setting out a chute copper is a pretty delicate procedure. I make sure the rig is going arrow straight . I always run my chute copper as the last rod out. Also, when picking up, you need to be going straight. Picking the chute copper on the turn, will keep your wire cutters active for the next half hour... Good luck, tight( and untangled) lines...... 5. Your 100% right on! Caz always took time to explain the how's and whys. I just saw the old ghost for sale on a boat site. Talk about a blast from the past. Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  6. Your exactly right Kevin... John had a beautiful 28 Baha named Desperado. Between him and Caz Pizzo, I learned a ton about the lake. Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  7. Your very welcome Tom. Glad we could finally fish together. Quote of the day... Tom L.- " is this what you call a $h!t show?" Me- " absolutely." Chris...thanks for the kind words man. Just passing on info like my old Friend Capt John McCabe did for me way back when. Tight lines boys... See you on the "O" Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  8. First day I've used the gator weights.... Awesome!!! They track very nice. I will be curious to test them at extreme depths offshore later this season... Thanks again Bikini Bottom....

  10. Usually only run one copper on each side and a big copperdown chute Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. 300 on outside, 400 inside... Theory is the 300 will slide over the 400 when a fish hits.... It does work .... Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  12. Wow.....nice looking pooch. Don't see too many Dobermans around these days. Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  13. Funny....I fished similar waters and the fish wanted it slow.... When we slowed the boat to fight a fish, another rod went. Most hits also came on the in-side of the turns. Great report by the way.... Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Thanks for the kind words boys. This spring is lining up to be one of those seasons to remember. Sharpen those hooks!!! Lol Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  16. Been a little light on my reports lately. One word comes to mind about this spring so far out of Rochester .. "Consistent". Today was a very good bite for us. It was a king bite today...14 for 18. A couple 2 year olds (10-12 lbs) with a pile of high teens. Most set ups took shots... Our riggers were deeper in cold water and were very active. Froggy glow cup, and Die Hards off riggers.... Custom glow off 10 core took a few shots as well. Divers were pretty quiet. The fish wanted it a little slower today. If this spring is an indicator, then this Summer is going to be one for the books. Tight lines.... Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  17. Great Find...... Now the fun begins.... Sheepdog??? How about "wolf hunter".... Watch your 6 brother
  18. Mops..... I agree with you that this thread is not the place for you to discuss what you see in the media or what ever issues you have with Law enforcement.... its about Gill-T's attempt to get his property back. The crime in question is anything but petty (or even petti Larceny)..its a Felony (Grand Larceny) punishable by up to a state prision sentance (depending on the offenders criminal history). Gill-T..... Im still checking on what we spoke about. Will advise if somthing turns up.

  20. Bruce.....the only time I like em is combat trolling in the fall traffic Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  21. Nope.....Copper wont pig tail like wire....I have numerous rods set up with varying lengths of copper. No twillies needed... Very good advice, especially about checking your drag. Long coppers are a P.I.T.A to bring in. They might not be "stud" set ups for numbers, but my bigger fish each season tend to come on them..... Tight lines.....
  22. They were short striking for sure today.... Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  24. Use a bigger coast lock swivel. I never store my leaders on my divers. I just unhook the coast lock swivel and wind my leaders on a swim noodle. Keeps leaders neat and free of nicks. Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. When combat trolling in the Fall, Inlines are the best..... Easy to get out of the way when your running in the pack.... Every year, some clowns decide they are going to run big boards waaaay out and try to hog the inside pass.... Thats when Fillet knives get taped to boat hooks and tow lines get sliced....
