  1. Hmm....i use 20lb big game with 15 seagur floro ...double uni knot..no issues. Even when i use 30# big game with same floro , same knot...no issues. To each his own... Tight lines! Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  2. Question.....why change lines? I run big game and just leader down.... Meaning why not stick with mccoy and just run floro leaders..... Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  3. I have no experience with P line's regular mono, but the Florocarbon is no good... One day last spring, I broke off 4 fish in one day (on 4 different rods). I haven't broke off 4 fish in the last 5 years. I was using the P Line florocarbon. I retied all my leaders with Seguar after that.... Lesson learned.
  4. New #1 stick bait as of last spring.

  13. My personal opinion is, you can shoot popcorn ducks anytime.... The late season is really the only time to get "good" divers... Ie cans, redheads, and Bills. We worked our rear ends off to get our birds this past split. Kinda rewarding knowing most guys give up because its too much work or too cold. The season setting committee screwed us out of a weekend last year and i expect much of the same this year..... I did send an email in to support a longer late season.....if just by 2 days, that would be fine. Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  21. Ive hunted those guys before. Very very smart and usually don't spend more than a day or two in the same field. The times Ive been after them, we used over 1K socks and kites. Most of the time ,the birds you get to decoy are the juvies. Alot of guys find a field with birds in them, then they sneak the field and jump shoot the flock. Nothing wrong or illegal about that, just not my cup of tea. Good luck chasing the whites. Post up some pics if you get into them.
  22. Thanks guys.... Been rough going. Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  25. Lol....my boy hated geese... He would always grab them by the neck and try to drown them or he would just swing them around till the necks broke. It was brutal to watch. Ive never seen a dog do that before.... Had him out to North Dakota also. He chased a crippled goose across a cut field into a dried up pond... The cat tails were over my head. By the time i caught up to him, he was barking his nuts off and a freakin cow moose came flying out of the cattails.... 2 seconds later . here comes Parker with the goose....minus a head..lol... He was a one in a million dog. I was lucky to be his human... Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
