  2. And also...how many schools of fish do you run over and not even know they are there? Last season, the fish were very active...There one day, gone the next. Being able to mark fish while on the move, saves time and aggravation of "shoot... they were here yesterday"....
  3. Dave works for Jet Blue
  4. actually the principle is way different....those guys are commercial fishing.... The longer those fish fight, the more acid built up in the Tuna's flesh.... That's why they gaff em, and tow em to cool them down before cleaning them.... Great lakes guys are in it for the fight....sport fishing.... If we wanted to just crank em in, guys would have the telephone poles and big reels from the old snagging days... I agree that Tyler is a douche....Dave.com is a total type A personality...but he is a Hell of a Tuna Fisherman..... Dave Hard Merchandise really needs to restore that tub... My favorite boat has to be Hot Tuna.....relaxed Capt and a sweet ride....
  5. Bruce....Capt Dave from Tuna.com sold that boat to someone in the Bahamas. He is having a much bigger boat built up in Maine. By the looks of it, the new .Com will be along the lines of Hot Tuna....maybe even bigger.

  13. Orange one is a King Eider....extremely rare for this part of the United States....the other birds are White Wing Scoters and Scaup ( Blue Bills) . Scoters and Blls are pretty common. Kings are normally found in the Bearing sea or in the upper most North Atlantic. With all the high winds we had this December, im suspecting the King got blown off course and is digging the abundance of zebra mussels. Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  14. Blue bills, White wing Scoters, squaws, and Elvis....the King Eider. Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  23. Like i said previously.....im not bashing Okuma at all.... I love the leadcore/copper rods...the high speed copper reels are nice also ( i dont have drag issues with the 3 i own). If anyone has worn out reels or is in need of any reel repair, i wouldnt hesitate to call the Tuna Guy. Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  24. Vince....another captain from the oak had an identical issue i did....we sent our reels to tuna tom at same time. Hes an Okuma guy as well. Like i previously posted, after the drag fix, i really like them. If okuma fixed the issue, i wouldnt hesitate to buy some more Catalinas. Sent from my VS980 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  25. Im very good friends with the current owner as well as the previous owner....ive seen this boat get gutted..new floation and a new floor....ive rode in this boat as well....total tank. If i wasnt putting in hardwoods in my house, this rig would be sitting in my driveway...good luck selling her Brian. Someone is going to get a great rig for a good price.
