  1. Here's my .02 on the LOC....Mr.Chilson runs this tournament as a business....he's entitled to run the business any way he sees fit. We all pay and enter and we should all know the rules before entering....if you don't like the rules, don't enter! I for one, am in no position to tell a guy how he can run a business, nor will I get on the internet, stomp my feet and shake my fist in the air over this. If this new format doesn't work, I'm sure changes will made. There are a ton of other tourneys on the lake. If the LOC isn't your cup of tea, then I'm sure there's one around that will be somewhat appealing. Tight lines.... Sent from my VS920 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  5. for sale....$45 or b/o. Buyer pays shipping or pick up in Rochester
  6. Depends on the length Copper.....but for 400 ft and under, Okuma Clarion 55 is pretty sweet. Fast retrieval rate. Sent from my VS920 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  8. For sale is a Diawa 47LC Great lakes Sealine reel. This reel has only had mono or a short lead core ( Currently has a short core ). This is an older reel, however I just had Tony's Reel repair go through it and replace any worn parts on it. The reel works perfectly...The reel is priced at $50.00. Buyer pays shipping or can be picked up in Rochester NY. I have another reel exactly the same....It also has never had wire on it....It is missing the glass on the counter, but the counter works fine. I did not have this one serviced because the drag and clicker work great.....$35.00. These reels are extremely tough...back in the early 90's I ran my wire divers off of similar reels and they worked great.... I will post some pics ......Matt
  9. Avenged Sevenfold soundtrack .......Awesome!!!!!

  14. I've used them all t one time or another....the worst ones were ugly sticks....the rod butt was too far to the reel. Very awkward. I know a lot of guys use rollers, I'm not partial to them either. I like a more whippy longer rod with a twilly on the end....Diawa 10 fters fit my needs perfectly. They have decent eyelits on them and won't beat up your wallet too bad. I used the same 10 1/2 ft St.Croix diver rods for 16 years....I broke one and called St.Croix but they stopped making them. If anyone has a St.Croix diver rod and wants to sell it, please PM me.....Tight lines. ..... Sent from my VS920 4G using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  16. His rigging part was OK I guess, but the rest of the seminar was totally a commercial. IMO the Lake Ontario Seminars should be done by Lake Ontario Charter Captains....guys who fish our lake, make their lively hoods here, and know the conditions....Keating is all about the "light line" technique. When I asked him what he does when the fleas are bad ...his answer " I just go deeper were the fleas aren't so bad".....Lol.....maybe that works in Michigan but not here.....different water, different ecosystem, different techniques. 17. The only way to know for sure is to ask the fish. Most Lures are designed to catch fishermen. Personally I have variations of all kinds of spoons...Some are doctored up with tape and eyes, some are not. My thinking is , try to keep your spoons are natural looking as possible( in clear water). A big ole glow eye on a spoon could represent the big eyes on an alewife. I guess it all comes down to what you have confidence with. If I'm running a spoon spread, At least two of my spoons out are doctored up with glow eyes on them....Good luck and tight lines....
  18. Anybody On the west end of the Lake with cannons......I suggest Tony's reel repair ( Certified Cannon repair site) in Orchard Park.
