  1. The trick with otters is the 1/2 keel attachment. They pull like a champ. If your releases won't go down, just bump up your speed a little and they will fly down. The half keels are awesome and have proven themselves in 3 to 4 fters. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  2. Scott, I know you don't want to hear it but........"Otters". Its too bad the fish we marked didn't want to chew. It would have been ugly. Scott and Hans, thank you for the nice day on the water. See you guys at the Red Cross. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  3. Thought you still had her from looking on the website. Good luck with the new purchase.... [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

  7. Ray..... Couldn't resist. I hear that's good luck up in oswego.....yea that's it. Along with the lobsters, you could have smuggled some nice weather. I'll see you at the niagara....tasty venison veal ( it's easier to drag out the little ones) Jax...I hear ya brother. I figured that we would have some decent kings around. Hopefully they stick around. Lilboat, that spoon will go out as my "a" game every day from now on. I went to the Yeck site the other day and was blown away with the patterns they have come up with. Needless to say my lure budget took a hit. Good luck and keep your hooks sharp. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

  10. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Missdemeanor ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s): May1 Time on Water: 0630-1200 Weather/Temp: Wind Speed/Direction: NE Waves: 2 Surface Temp: 46 Location: LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 25 ish Total Boated:20 Species Breakdown: King, Cohos, Browns, Northern, Seagull Hot Lure: Yeck Froggy, natural colored thundersticks Trolling Speed: 2.0 Down Speed: Boat Depth: Lure Depth: The fishing off Rochester remains consistent. The Brownie bite continues to be decent as well as a few kings showing up. I continue to be harassed by pesky northern as well as a seagull ( released unharmed to go dump on Ray K's van). We managed to find a pocket of decent water with good temp and color. The Yeck Froggy continues to be the man taking its share of browns as well as a 14# king. Hopefully this weather clears up soon...Tight lines......
  11. Sandwick...it depends on the water clarity...If its stained green water I like to keep them between 100-120 feet back. If its crystal clear water I run them back from 160 to 180. The clearer the water, the spookier the fish....especially brownies.
  12. Now days the only time I run inlines is if I'm combat trolling in the fall. In that application I let the board slide. If I run one smaller lead core off each side, I fix the board with a rubber band and then deal with it as it gets close to the boat. The thing that sucks about fixing the board to the line is when reeling it in and the board dives....a way to combat the dive is when the board is comming close to the boat, reel with your rod tip down. Works almost all the time......good luck and tight lines.... [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  13. Anthony, Shake down run....I'm lucky I remembered my rods and reels.....pics were the last thing on my mind. Little adjustment to the port side motor carb and the ole Miss is back in fighting condition. Drove by the lake today.....can you say wind surfing? Lake was a little grumpy to say the least.....good luck this weekend boys...... [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  14. Just a testament to the stocking efforts and the adaptability of these fish. It's almost scary to think how big these guys will be by the fall. Scotty....no question it helped that text message set the tone. Good advice about setting out the brown bomber plug. Yankee.....you guys are champs at the brown thing. Look at the posts you put out this spring....impressive bro! Good luck in canada [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  15. Fishing Report Your Name / Boat Name: Missdemeanor ============== TRIP OVERVIEW ============== Date(s):4/27 Time on Water: 0630 to 1100 Weather/Temp: partly sunny Wind Speed/Direction: see Waves: less than 2 Surface Temp:42-44 Location: Port of Rochester LAT/LONG (GPS Cords): =============== FISHING RESULTS =============== Total Hits: 15 Total Boated:12 Species Breakdown: browns cohos and one nasty ole northern. Hot Lure: Yeck froggy Trolling Speed:2.2 Down Speed: Boat Depth: Lure Depth: surface ==================== SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ==================== Shake down for the Missdemeanor. Excellent day on water. ScottB's father Hans ( the original silver fox) joined us today. Started off slow but we managed to find a small pocket of water that held some fish. We caught a couple of cohos and a northern. Then came the browns. Man they were all nice ones weighing from 8 to 12 lbs. Holy smokes there are some horses around. Fish hit various plugs off the boards, but I'd have to say that the Yeck froggy in the 28 size was the man! If these class of browns are any indication, this summer should produce some real monsters. Tight lines....Cpt. Matt [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  16. Fantastic.....love seeing the kids getting some time in.... [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  17. Congrats on the Shark. Hopefully there will be more to come.
  18. Probe......fishhawk x4....if your down speed is off and your lures aren't running right, it won't matter if there are fish. Since We started using down speed/temp years ago, our catch rates have risen significantly. Good luck with your decision. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  19. Happy Birthday Rob......
  20. If you are going out of Chamout( SP) ....Try Guffin Bay. caught some decent smallies out by the mouth and some Largemouth in the Back. Wacky rig senkos.....or through shad colored grubs.
