  1. I have my 200 coppers on Penn 230GTOs. I can fit a ton of backing on as well. I just checked and one of my 300's is on a Okuma 45. No problems with that reel as well.

  4. Depends on how big a reel your putting it on and how much copper. On A 300 copper with a bigger reel i can put 450 ft of power pro, the copper, then about 25 ft of leader. I use 30 lb leader. It all depends on what reel you use..... [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

  6. Billy V's pre game, wanting to step on everyone's neck, speech was funny also. Capt Andy is one crazy dude. Chompin down on a nasty Lamprey was classic. I have to agree that watching the pro am footage is awesome. It's cool to see Lake O finally get her props. The airing of the shows came just in time to get everyone fired up. 16. You should have a 450 or 500 for those middle of the day negative kings. I've caught more than a few that I've marked down 100 ft plus in the middle of the day......I have 2 three hundreds , and 2 five hundred coppers ready to go. I also keep some lead cores handy for the 50 ft and up fish. There are days My coppers are dead and My lead is smokin. Keep your options open.... [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
  17. Really Hard to achieve that kind of depth without using copper. Maybe try a torpedo diver off 7 strand wire....copper is the easiest , so that's What I would use.......good luck. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]

  19. I run a little different than most. My opinion on running for spring browns is stealth stealth stealth.....longer leads. My board leads are 160 to 200 back and my riggers tend to be 120-140 feet. Unless of course there is a lot of boat traffic. Like reel silver, I like to keep the middle of the boat open, so my chute rigger stays in the shed. I run my corners at 45 degrees to the stern. That keeps the whole center open. In super shallow water, the longer leads help with the stealth...especially in clear water. Murky water you can get away with shorter leads. [ Post made via Mobile Device ]
