    I've been rolling down to check on the youngsters just about every day. Fed them at 4pm yesterday and they are starting to boil up after the feed. We are tracking the feed schedule and the volunteers are doing an excellent job. With last week's cold weather and the cold evenings coming, the river temperature will not be an issue. I want to thank all the volunteers who broke their rear ends to get the Pens ready and the guys and gals who interrupted their lives to keep this program going while we are in the middle of this virus debacle. Thank you to the DEC fisheries for continuing this important program on the south shore. They could have caved and cancelled the program, however they stayed the course and allowed us to do what we do... Be well.... The ramps and Marinas are open.... Go stretch some monofilament!     Go on Roku... Find Apps.... Search... Type in Frndly TV.... Once you get the app, go to the Frndly TV guide and the 3 good channels are the last ones... Sunday AM is loaded with Saltwater ...     A few months ago Specrum got rid of the Outdoor Channel. You had to buy a sporting package to get it. I was complaining one day and my buddy asked if I had a Firestick. He said to download the FrndlyTV app. The Frndly TV app has Outdoor Channel , Sportsman Channel, and the World Fishing Network. The app costs money but it was cheaper than just the one Outdoors channel on Spectrum. World Fishing Network is awesome. Lot of King Salmon fishing from BC and Alaska. There is also quite a few Saltwater shows. The cool thing is, you can go on the guide and play shows up to 2 days prior.     Found some really nice Green water with a 2 degree break. Very good chew this AM.. Regular size BTs took bright colored Bay Rat Short Shallows ...Citric Shad was the best by far.     Thanks H.D. we are very fortunate to have a great bunch of guys who work their tails off to get the Pens in and the crew of guys who come and feed them. Without those guys, the Genny Pen Project would not happen. I can't thank Skip Shumway enough for all he has done for our program.. On a different note, I received word that all volunteers at all Pen sites have the full backing of the DEC. Pen projects are a state program and are deemed essential so they will continue even though some marinas may be closed.     Feeders Absolutley do work, however if we feed by hand, we can direct the food broadcasting to all parts of the pen. If there are smaller fish pushed off to one side of the pen, we can make sure they get the same amount of feed. . We have hand fed since the program started with minimal dead loss...so we have to be doing somthing right Sent from my VS996 using Lake Ontario United mobile app

    I'm going to start out by saying Im not full time running charters and I am still working my land gig. So at this point in my life, running trips is not 100% of my livelihood..... But everyone's opinion matters on this subject In regards to the no charter fishing "Ban" handed down by the State... I don't think any citation would hold up in court, however there is a social responsibility we have to our families, neighbors , and communities to do what we can to end this A.S.A.P. I love fishing as much as everyone on this board. But I have chosen to follow my internal ethics and cease taking customers out until given the green light. I'm no big fan of the State Government , but it boils down to the safety of the community. One good thing is school is not in session, so I can get my daughter out on the rig a few more times before the "working season" takes off. Be safe and healthy folks....
