thanks for your replys guys. Persistence, I keep my boat at mikes marina, before i kept it at dowie dales campground in mexico bay. Also kept it at fairhaven for awhile. I Live in CNY, Close to the Big Lake. I never been to the oak before. Must be someone else. Pat

Hi guys, I know that there was a thread about this a month ago but i was wondering how i would mount two planner board reels. i want to mount them on the side of my hardtop on the rails but dont know how to fasten them to it. The reels just have the clamp on them right now. Thanks for any help. Pat

Went up to little salmon today. The State Launch is almost ice free. The mouth of the Little salmon is ice free but most of the river is still iced over. It looks like thin ice so hopefully it will melt soon. Pat

The ten day forcast for Syracuse area, is highs in the mid 40's and 50's. I am pulling the shrink wrap off the boat tommarrow. Cabin fever is really getting to me. Pat

I have two expereinces that ill never forget. 1. About 6 years ago I caught a 10lb Catfish trolling for salmon out in front of the salmon river in about 150feet on a pirate black/silver spoon. Thought the whole time it was a lake trout. Didnt fight at all. 2. Fishing in the Fulton finger lakes in Old Forge. I think it was the 2 lake. Fishing for bass and when we tried pulling the anchor i couldnt pull it up. thinking it was stuck. Me, my dad and my brother all pulled the line up and when it got to the top it was a have rotted deer we snag by the antlers. It was pretty amazing to see that. Figure it must of fell through the ice during the winter. Pat

Another Good one. Zesty Salmon Burgers 1 can (14-3/4 ozs.) salmon, drained, skin and bones removed or FRESH. 2 eggs 1/2 cup dry bread crumbs 1/4 cup finely chopped onion 1/4 cup mayonnaise 1 to 2 tablespoons prepared horseradish 1 tablespoon diced pimientos, optional 1/4 teaspoon salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper 2 tablespoons butter or margarine Directions 4 kaiser rolls, split Lettuce leaves Combine the first nine ingredients; mix well. Shape into four patties. In a skillet over medium heat, cook patties in butter until browned, about 6 minutes on each side. Serve on rolls with lettuce. Serving Size: 4

Grilled Salmon and Baked Potato with Salsa Total preparation time: 30 minutes Serves 8 8 medium baking potatoes (russet or Idaho), unpeeled and well scrubbed Eight 7-ounce salmon steaks 2/3 tablespoon olive oil 2 2/3 tablespoons Dijon mustard 1/2 cup nonfat sour cream 1/2 cup salsa Prepare grill. Prick each potato several times with a fork and wrap individually in aluminum foil. Place on grill 20 to 25 minutes, or until fork tender. Meanwhile, brush salmon with olive oil and mustard. Grill 5 minutes on one side, turn, and continue grilling 5 to 7 minutes or until fish flakes easily to fork or is no longer translucent. Top each potato with 2 tablespoons each of sour cream and salsa, and serve with cooked fish. Hi guys, I was wondering what size line and leader should i run? I was told that a 10lb main line with a 10lb flurcarbon leader is the best way to go. I have 8 1/2' Rods. Thanks for any replys, Pat
