I know how you feel. 5 years ago a theif took everything out of our boat. Downriggers, poles, tackle everything. I was heartbroken. took this long to finally get those things built back up. this time i have insurance on all my fishing tackle.

P.S.
I grew up in fulton and that really pisses me off. Although no were safe these days. my boat was robbed in mexico.
I run 10lb big game main line and 10lb floracarbon for leaders. I think this is the difference in catching 1 or 2 fish to catching 10+ fish. Also i had never had a fish break off in the spring. Just make sure your drags are good. and like on the lam said i sure that big line is hampering your lure action.

Todd,
I didn't have the radio up to loud at times because of the chatter. I might just miss ya but i don't think i would of pick you up anyways from henderson. Good luck in the derby. Let me know how you do.
Pat
Fishing was decent today. Started slow in the 8-15 fow range. Pick up a couple decent browns. Water was cold so move out into 25-50 fow range did 3 more browns and a nice steelhead. Also lost another really nice Steelhead at the back of the boat. Lake was flat when we left before the thunderstorms. Not a bad day 6-9.
Pat
Were you watching the temp? We caught most of the fish in 50 plus degree water. There wasn't much big fish around this weekend. I didn't hear anything about any big browns. Also we use light line with fluracarbon leaders. Hope this helps.
Pat
Todd At least you caught some fish. The way the weather forecast look for today with no wind and sunny. I figure I'd sleep in today.Guess it look like a good idea. What were the water temps? Pat

I think so. Put some stabil in it and it ran a lot better but still started a little hard. We keep messing with it. Will figure it out. Pat

Hi guys.
Fishing was pretty good yesterday. Went out in the morning. Pretty rough out 2-3' rollers. Went 12-16. All browns in 5-6lb range. It was a steady pick till 10 and they started to shut down and we went back in. Fish were caught on spoons and sticks off boards and riggers.
Also went out for a evening run.
Went 2-3 in 2 hours that we went out. Nice browns 1 8lb and 1 9lb.
No LOC derby fish but still had a riot catching those browns on light gear.
Pat
Thanks guys. Ill try out the tips that i got from you guys and let you know how it works out. The gas is almost all new. There was 1/8 of gas left from last year. I have to put some gas in the boat friday and ill put in some stabil.
Thanks again guys,
Pat
HI guys,
I have a 350 merc I/O. i have a hard time starting it. It seems like it doesn't want to fire over. You got to keep turning it over and pump the throttle into it starts. It also will stall sometimes when you put it into reverse after running it for awhile. Had the carb rebuilt and it still does this. Any ideas at all?
Thanks,
Pat
Well fishing wasn't as good as it has been. But we still caught fish.
Saturday we went 3-4. 2 browns and a nice smallmouth bass. Sunday was a little better fishing. Going 4-5. 3 browns, another nice smallmouth bass. Sunday we caught all are fish when it was really foggy and after the fog lifted fishing shut down for us. Both days we didn't fish past 10.00am.

your docks look like there all fix now. We drove by on saturday and they were fixing them.
