Well got up to the boat around 5:15am and the wind was blowing. We decided that 2 blow off weekends in a row was enough. stop by Jon's little salmon tackle and caught some new lures (which I will lose to a steelhead or a Coho. couldn't tell) Started trolling east in 15 fow in 2 sometimes 3 foot waves.( not bad compared to how rough its been). Went 5-7 with the 2 misses being break off after a short and aerial fight. Not a bad morning. The fish landed were all browns 5lb except one 9lb.
i didn't get to go out. had to work late. . I'll try to go out tonight in mexico. I dont want to stay up late. Got to save my rest for fishing for the browns tommarrow morning. .

Hi guys,
Looking to install a spotlight in front of the boat. I see alot of boats with spotlights on there bow. Anybody have any recommendations on a brand or type. Would like to be able to control some movement from the cockpit.
Thanks,
Pat
cwmwnw,
Planner boards are a must in early spring taking most of my fish. you will catch fish off downriggers but your limiting your catch rates and hookups.

I just bought that humminbird 788ci. So far so good. It was super easy to install and user freindly I also look into each unit and deceied that hunninbird unit was the best bang for the buck. Pat

I'd try it when the browns start moving a little deeper in the afternoon or when theres alot of boats in tight. Around 25 or 30 feet off the downriggers or wire.
