  1. Crum, no problem she can contact me anytime. Project Healing Waters has a list of veterans that they will utilize. If we got enough volunteer boats we might be able to open it up to other organizations. We have a couple of charcoal grills at Arney's for burgers and such. Again, depending on how many volunteers we get, will depend on how big the barbecue and if we need a pig cooker. Unless the response is huge, I was just thinking some burgers and hot dogs. Nick
  2. Thanks Rich, I'm sitting here at work chomping at the bit to get back up there. The lake was flat as glass and the fish were biting, it doesn't get much better. Nick
  3. Any help is always appreciated. Let me know if you can take some guys and how many (I'm thinking two per boat would be great, but if you can only fit one that's fine too).
  4. I wanted to start a new thread to discuss the Sodus Bay Healing Waters Salmon Slam on August 4th. It will be put together with the help of Project Healing Waters. http://www.projecthealingwaters.org/ Here's a video of a trip they did to the salmon river last year, they had about 10 drift boats volunteer. {C} {C} The plan is to leave the docks in Sodus early morning, fish for a few hours, then return to Arney's Marina for a barbecue. If you are interested in participating, whether it be to volunteer your boat and take a veteran out, or just to help setup or make food, please post or send me a PM to let me know. Let's make this a great event, and give back to those whom have already given us so much. Volunteer List Nick
  5. stoutner, did you launch or get gas from Arneys? I saw a trophy go by, thought it might be you? Nick
  6. Yeah we should be up there for both of those weekends. We've been doing our best to turn down weddings and graduation parties and the million other things people who don't fish do I completely understand the job situation... gotta do what you gotta do. I doubt I'll be getting up in time to fish Friday anymore, we've been rolling into town around midnight on Friday, which makes a 5am wakeup call a bit tough on Saturday! The fishing was insane this weekend, I can only imagine if it's like this in August when there are more 30+lb fish around... Nick
  7. Sure was incredible out there! I just wish we hadn't dropped so many of the big boys!!! I'm trying to get up there Thursday night this week, but work needs me in DC through Thursday... makes for a VERY long trip up to the lake Nick
  8. The weather held off Saturday but for about 15 mins it really started picking up, then settled right back down. An amazing weekend, glad to hear you got into em! Funny how catching your kill switch on a bad day of fishing can really piss you off, but with the day you had, I bet it just made you giggle like a little girl When fishing is as good as it was this weekend, it's hard not to just be giddy! Nick
  9. nice king! I really hope this fishing continues all summer! Nick
  10. AppleBoy nice to hear you out there on Ch9. Amazing weekend out there! I just hope that it keeps up! Stop by Arneys anytime and say hi. Nick
  11. Well what can I say about this weekend other than epic... I've been fishing Sodus for 8 years now and have never seen early june fishing like this weekend. If I could call into work sick or dead tomorrow I would in a heartbeat! Now that we've been spoiled, lets hope it stays like this. If it reverts back to normal june fishing with fish down 150 ft over 600 fow I might cry I can't wait to see what.next weekend brings. I know there are at least a few bruisers out there that I'd like one more shot at! [ Post made via Android ]
