It's raining, it's pouring, the workday is getting boring!
Heard from one boat that went out this morning and the kings are still scattered. Temp was around 100ft in 150fow.
We plan to leave dock at 430, hopefully the rain has passed by then!
Plano is in again as a core sponsor this year! I had to share these awesome tackle bags they provided for some of our lucky Veterans!
Be jealous Salmon Slam Captains, but not too jealous, as Plano has something special for you as well...
A big thank you to Tim and Jeff from Salmon Slam team Finders Keepers for securing the Plano support this year!
There were two things we did on Monday... we found fish to put our baits where they were and we controlled our troll. What I mean by that is we recognized the strong current and found a direction the fish were biting in it and a speed they liked. I think the biggest key was finding fish. This time of the year fish are scattered and not many at the eastern ports, so finding them is half the battle.
Headed up to the lake now. We need to work all day tomorrow, but hope to get out for an evening trip. We have a friend and his wife coming up for their annual trip. Normally it is our friend and one of his daughters, but this year momma is coming
Word out of Sodus is the water set up and temps are above 100ft for the first time in weeks. As long as the wind doesn't blow too hard out of the west it should stay that way for the weekend.
Wave report looks decent until later Saturday...
