I saw fleas also for 2 days about the same time you posted. Haven't seen any since. We have been lucky on the cottonweed so far! I'm interested in some info on the salmon slam.

Hi Wetwilly... the Salmon Slam is a one day tournament, where there is no entry fee, except to take one of the wounded or disabled Veterans we provide out as part of your team. There are prizes for both the Captains as well as the Veterans based on largest king, steelhead, and brown trout, as well as a prizes raffle that each boat is entered into.

There is no separate Lake Trout division, however teams are allowed to catch and keep legal size lakers if they want. They do not count toward raffle tickets / prizes.I'm a little confused , is there a lake trout div.?

I was pretty sure they were fleas, but perhaps I didn't pay enough attention. The cottonwood is the only thing worse than fleas.

Ok we will be having a dinner on Friday night July 29th at 6pm. It will be at Dockers restaurant (Oak Park Marina) on the East side of the bay. Tickets are $30 per person. You have the choice of Tavern steak, chicken parmesan, or fried/broiled haddock. Each meal comes with a salad, bread, soda/coffee/tea, and desert. Ticket includes tax and tip.

Everyone is welcome, whether you are fishing the Salmon Slam or not. It was a great time last year with nearly 80 people all telling fishing stories and joking with our Veterans.
