It has been pretty slow inshore at Sodus for weeks now. I keep hoping it will pick up! -
Started in 100fow, trolled out to 230fow.

I think the fish are punishing me for not fishing yesterday. Have literally not marked a fish since before 8am.

A great day in Canada with the family shopping in Niagara-on-the-lake and hitting the icewine trails. On the way back, we stopped in Wilson at the Wilson Boathouse Restaurant. We miss not going to Wilson each spring, so it was nice to get back. And of course, had to stop at Brownies for some parkerhouse ice cream!

No fishing for us today as we are headed to Canada for the day. Folks out there are just setting up, but finding colder water than the last few days with 50deg down 90. Normally I would agree with this, but this year is weird and there have been mature fish out deep as well. The offshore bite was slower yesterday, but matures were still being taken from 300-600fow. The difference is when you fish in tight in the warm water, most fish will be mature, as they are the ones willing to tolerate the warm warm water.
