  1. On a 1 setting, out 350ft, we trolled into 100fow this morning without dragging (with dodger fly on). We do use two different diameter wires, but that was with the thinner Malin, which gets ~5-10ft deeper than the thicker wire we use.
  2. Easy way to tell... troll into 80fow @2.1mph down speed and see if they drag. Are you willing to take the Ruff Rider challenge? I bet it isn't getting down more than 65ft @280 on a #3. If I'm right, I get to add the "Ruff Rider" touch to your rigger rods.
  3. It is far from an exact science, but it will get you in the ballpark
  4. I believe they are size 0 with the O ring. They are the largest size without being magnum We use wire line. I assume a general divide by 3 rule on a one setting and a divide by 5 on a three setting. As far as max depth, I don't really know, but can say that sometimes at 350 on a 3 setting, they won't get bit. Drop it to.450 and they get hammered.
  5. 350 dipsey started screaming while pulling rods. Dropped that one too. Headed in to try to recover Lots of fish out there!
  6. Getting bumpy, going to troll into 120fow and pull em.
  7. 8lb king green board green fly. Swam at the boat and actually in front of it at one point...
  8. Marking a few fish still, but no one is catching anything.
  9. Really like using bells on my rigger rods! That way every rod had an "audio alarm". I noticed in my videos I wasn't seeing the rigger rods very quickly, especially my blindside (starboard rigger). Now the only problem is, I'm like Pavlov's dog. Whenever I hear a bell, no matter where I am, I jump and my adrenaline rushes!
  10. Marking fish 100fow-300fow, bite is light though.
  11. 62 degrees down 85! Holy smokes! Who dropped the nuclear reactor in the lake?
