  1. A couple of boats are hitting a couple of kings and steelies. Far from fast and furious though still.
  2. Well that was dumb of me... I ordered a replacement probe wire to run back to the helm and forgot to make sure it was female to male. Oy vey.
  3. Headed up for another weekend of fishing out of Sodus. Reports are still mediocre, but at least most are coming back with fish lately, which is a step above last week. Reports from 150fow to 550fow are similar, so we will be in search mode. Also, the Sodus ProAm and $1,000 per day derby are next week. You still have time to get in! If you are fishing it, let me know!
  4. I bought a depth raider years ago, prior to the newer version fish hawk. If I had to choose today, I would definitely buy a fish hawk.
  5. Ok everyone, we will be having a dinner with our Veterans Friday night again this year! It will be Friday, July 31st 6pm, at Dockers restaurant. It is located at the Oak Park Marina on the southeast side of Sodus Bay. There will be 4 dinner choices; 14oz prime rib with mashed potatoes, chicken parmesan with spaghetti, haddock casino, or fettucini alfredo with vegetables. Each dinner comes with a caesar salad and a desert. Cost will be $25+tax&tip which comes to $30 per person. We will have a private room this year which will be nice. Dockers has a few boat slips for those that want to drive their boat over for dinner, but let me know this week if you want one as they fill up fast. Please message or email me if you plan to come to dinner and let me know how many will be in your party and which dinner choice each would like. I need to provide Dockers a head count by July 22nd, so please contact me by then if you plan to attend. Those of you whom have participated in the dinners the last couple of years can attest to how great it is to get to meet some of our Vets and fellow captains/fishermen for a bit of socializing as well as taunting prior to the tournament! We had 64 folks last year and I expect we may have more than that this year. Theresa and I look forward to seeing and chatting with many of you there!
  6. A bit of east wind today. Combine that with how slow fishing has been and we decided we will get a good breakfast and head home early today.
  7. Thanks Eco, I'm pretty sure it is either the antenna cable or the component cable that runs to the dash. I'm going to try the antenna cable first and see what happens.
  8. About a 5lb laker. We did pick up this balloon as well, that counts right?
  9. Yeah spring fishing was very good! I'm hearing pretty lousy reports up and down the lake right now, but the forecast for the week looks hot, which will hopefully get things going!
  10. Ive had a 5 color lead and 300 copper out all weekend, no luck so far with them.
  11. Same story as yesterday. A lot of hooks with bait, but no one can get them going. 51deg down 40 over 200fow. Lots of bait in the 20-40ft area.
