  1. Decided not to go out tonight. Spooled up a 5 color leadcore for tomorrow for the steelies and headed to Captain Jacks for grub!
  2. Just got up to the lake for a four day weekend. Water level is VERY high! We have maybe 6" of dock showing, whereas we normally have 1.5ft and more during low levels. I wish I had better news on fishing, bit SLOW is the word. I think the cold weather and east winds have slowed the warning of the lake and we are seeing the normal June transition now. It is supposed to be sunny and warm all weekend, so that should help. With the wonderful forecast, the bats and lake will be swamped with newer boaters, some with a few drinks in them, so please be careful out there! Also, if you haven't already signed up for the Sodus Pro Am, do it! It is a lot of fun. Unless you're scared to lose to a guy who uses pink poles...
  3. Thanks for getting shirts again! Ill PM you my order.
  4. Nope Wayne shot the last one in April. Ok it was really a goat, but we were deer hunting and he was just so excited I couldn't bear to correct him.
  5. I don't think they exist, they are like unicorns!
  6. I bought it in a tackle ship out west years ago. I havent seen them for sale recently, but we have a guy at Arneys that makes a few every once in a while.
  7. Waves are picking up, may not be out here long.
  8. Fish on! 40 rigger, bells let me know, guess I should pay better attention!
  9. Pretty nice 2ft rollers. Picked up for a bit, but layed back down now. Screen went blank with the laydown.
  10. I usually don't mind spiders, but I swear this one kept trying to crawl in my ear to lay its alien babies...
  11. 60deg on the surface in 280fow. I forgot to pick up a 9v, so no probe today. Marking bait 20-60 down. A few small hooks 40-60.
  12. Well... this may be the shortest live report ever for us. The forecast this weekend looks miserable. There is a small craft advisory in affect from Saturday afternoon through Sunday morning, with 7-10ft waves forecasted for tomorrow. We are going to try to get out in the morning, but from everyone I've talked to, the fishing has been incredibly slow as the lake warms/transitions. Arneys Marina has been working on our boat the past two weeks. It ended up being our IAC valve having to be replaced, but was only found after a tune up, new spark plugs, and other parts were tried... not looking forward to that bill! Our real excitement for this weekend is heading to Captain Jack's tomorrow night for my birthday. I get one free chicken wing for every year old I am... time to pig out! Also, Salmon Slam weekend is coming up! Remember, you can fish the Big Fish Friday from any port as long as you weigh in at Arneys at 2pm. It is $50 and half the money goes towards to event the next day for wounded and disabled Veterans. Good luck to everyone trying to get out on the water this weekend and please be safe!
  13. The Salmon Slam is only out of Sodus on Saturday. BFF on Friday can be done from any port as long as you bring the fish to Arneys to weigh in by 2pm.
  14. Great Melissa! Our BFF 50/50 pot is projected to hit over $1,000 this year! If anyone else wants to fish it, please let me know. Remember, you can fish from ANY port!
  15. Getting a bit bumpy out of the south. A few folks hitting some 10lb kings, but pretty slow. We have been running a steelie program all morning, but they haven't wanted to play.
