We use blacks. We used to use offshore releases, but switched to blacks and could never go back. Ive been experimenting with running them tighter with the rods bent over real tight... I think my ratio has actually gone down a bit...
Another double, lost both. Pretty sure small steelies.
Dear Warrens Tackle Shop,
Please order some of those fancy neon green NK spoons with the orange ladder back.
Sincerely,
Ruff Rider
Has been mostly a rigger bite lately, 85 down and the free slider on the 98 rigger.
It has slowed down in the last 30mins, possibly due to the East wind picking up.
We are in 700fow pointed South trolling back in.
Neon yellow spoon just got put out and fired twice within minutes. Moving to try and find some bigger fish though. We are pretty tired, so now we just want one more about 40lbs haha
Listen folks... now is the time. If you have vacation time, take it. Call in sick if you need to. Fishing is on FIRE and the weather forecast looks great!
GET OUT HERE!
(disclaimer: fishing could suck again tomorrow)
Not really sure. We do run much lighter gear than most people, lighter rods, lighter drags, etc.
Most of our lost fish have been quick hits on dipseys and quick pops on riggers that pull down, release, and then gone.
