What a night! No real size but a ton of action. 250-300fow down 85-100. Spoons and dodger/fly both went.
Mostly 10lb kings with a couple of steelies mixed in.
Vacation time! Woohoo!!! 11 straight days of fishing and live reports!
The weather forecast looks pretty good as well. The reports I'm hearing from Sodus today are for pretty slow fishing. A few people came in with only a bite or two. Temp still appears to be way down; 100 down over 300fow was my one report.
As long as the wind cooperates, it will be a good time to head offshore.
Waiting for one of my coworkers and his son to arrive and we'll head out.
Ive struggled to make heads or tails out of lengths, fly weights, etc. I just don't fish enough to make a strong conclusion backed by data that is anything other than opinion. I have found video taping my trips helps me break a lot of assumptions I make... like black dipseys work better... reviewing my videos, my fire tiger dipseys catches as many fish as my black dipsey.
Interesting Sk8! How have those worked on Lake O so far? Ive seen the same thing as you on video, but its a catch22... make them easier to grab and the lack of action may not trigger the fish to strike!

We made a quick video today to show folks how to tie up a tournament rig for their flies. Hope this helps folks who throw out their still good flies when they lose a hook!
