  1. Just a reminder that all Captains (or their designee) must be present in the Arney's Parking lot Saturday by 6am for the Captain's meeting and to get assigned the Vet that will be fishing as part of your team. If you are launching your boat, please do so before the meeting as things will move quickly and we will be escorted from Arneys to the chute a bit before 630. If you do not have a slip reserved, find someplace to tie up during the meeting, or drive over by car and plan on bringing your Vet back with you, but you will need to hurry to join back up with the pack on the bay outside Arneys. Upon return to port at the end of the tournament, please do not use a dock unless you have reserved one. Instead return to your normal dock and drive your cooler and Vet back over, or if trailering, pull your boat and park it in the far lot and then bring your cooler over to weigh in. The forecast looks beautiful other than the chance of thunderstorms. If there is lightning prior to the tournament starting, we will wait for it to pass. Once we are out on the water, please use your best discretion for safety if storms pop up. As always, please let me know if you have any questions. Nick
  2. Forecast is looking pretty good, but bring rain gear just in case! I'll have some of those dollar store plastic ponchos for the Vets, but if you have an extra rain coat, please bring it along!
  3. Those were some sloppy waves last year Roy! Anyone with a "suck it up" attitude must not fish with their wives like we do haha The Mrs. doesn't exactly react well to that line of thinking Theresa used to get seasick on just about every trip and then she called her doctor and got the transderm seasickness patch that goes behind her ear. Best money we've ever spent! They worked when absolutely nothing else did. After a season of using them, she's pretty good now and holds up without the patches in anything under 3ft. We recommend the patches to quite a few people, but amazingly enough very few listen and continue fighting seasickness. If you get seasick or take someone else out who gets seasick, try the patches... you won't regret it. Be careful with seasickness.... you've heard the couple of stories here, but cardiac arrest is also something that can happen... just ask Wayne on Green Dolphin Nick
  4. Ok folks, just a few more days to go and then we'll be putting some big smiles on the Vets faces! BFF jackpot is over $400 now and we have OVER 60 people attending the dinner, WOW! I continue to be amazed and proud of the support our LOU family shows to the Veterans and Servicemen this event supports. Now start praying for great weather, calm seas, and even a good bite on Saturday! If anyone has any last minute questions, please let me know. If you are interested in getting in on BFF there is still time, just let me know! Nick
  5. Nice job! It was a tough bite this weekend!
  6. We will be up Thursday night to fish Big Fish Friday and prep for Saturday's Salmon Slam.
  7. Shot on the 90 rigger, no one home. The wind is howling now.
  8. Wind is really whipping now, starting to whitecap and build.
  9. 550fow, not marking much. 47deg down 60. Really slow today, not a single other boat Ive heard from has boated a fish. Maybe the lightning storm scared them to the mud?
  10. Nice steelie to start the day. 250fow purple glow spoon on a fixed cheater 10' up.
  11. 1ft rollers, very nice right now. Fish arent cooperating though.

  15. Dropped what felt like a brown on the 80 rigger over 140fow and threw back a shaker king on the 105 rigger. Pulling and headed in.
  16. Getting low on gas, time to turn and troll towards port. We were just too tired to gas up after the proam last weekend and forgot to bring a 5g jug today.
  17. That's some heavy duty line! Ive used Ande 30lb for a few years with no problem.
  18. That sounds like a lot of work and my first mate is sleeping lol Had some on our wire, but reeled through them. 30lb rigger was pretty clean other than a bit at the swivel.
  19. Fleas are TERRIBLE today, time to change out my 20lb rigger line.
