Lake picked up, heading in.

Doubled up on the 75 rigger with a 6lb laker. Kept circling and circling the dipsey... felt like it was stuck on bottom, but it had only been out a bit over 100ft... Then like a dumbass, I tried to throw it back in the water past my lines, only to have it get in my rigger and force me to reel it all back in. Man my arms are tired!

It is, but we don't have easy access to a vehicle to tow it with. That would be to much of a PIA for just a weekend for us. I do NOT enjoy towing the boat, wayyyy too stressfull for me!

Yeah save your gas, the fishing is still too slow to get bounced around like this.

Yeah picked up out here and is whitecapping now... not a lot of fun. Coast guard just reported an unmanned 16 aluminum in sodus bay... that cant be good.

21' charter taking on water off Oswego. Hopefully everything works out and the coast guard can help...

Seems to be calming down a bit. West troll into them isnt too bad. Marking, but like last weekend they just arent hungry.

What a difference a few days make... What a change in water temp. 61 down 70 over 125. Hooks and bait from 50-90.

Hit some big storms on the way up, but took it slow and it wasn't too bad.

Headed up to the lake now. We will be up until Monday woohoo!!! The weather forecast doesn't look all that great this weekend, but hopefully we will be able to get out a bit. The fishing reports I have been hearing have been miserable at best, so no real information to provide. I'll keep everyone updated with whatever I see or hear though.

Hopefully all the hot weather this week helps get the lake setup fast! BTW, Chevy won over Ford in the shootout. At the end of the day, the better warranty and price won out.

Hey Chris! We tried number one the past two weekends without much luck. We are usually pretty good at steelies too I would honestly rather troll all day for one king than a limit of browns and lakers. Just my personal preference. If we had friends up or something it might be different. The Sodus ProAm is in three weeks... if things dont change fast it will definitely be a brown trout tournament! I registered Ruff Rider this weekend, who else is in? If you've never fished it, you really should! As long as you don't take it too serious, it can be a lot of fun!

Thanks Woody. I have some messages and emails out to get quotes. Living so far away, I really don't have a lot of interest in spending weekend fishing time on the "try to buy a car for a good price" rodeo . So if I cant get a good price by email that beats my local dealers, it will be much easier for me to buy back home. PS. After multiple test drives, both cars are great cars. It all comes down to price really.

As long as the weather and work cooperate we will be back out Friday morning. You aren't missing much yet. Checking my old reports, this is by far the slowest start to a season in at least the last five years.

It is clear the only thing biting in Sodus today are the black flies! Going to pull soon and head in.
