Dodger, Tim, from Krenzer has been taking care of the checks and registration. I know we should be getting a confirmation out, but please keep in mind we just undertook this less than two months ago. We started from ground zero after Warren's "planned" event seemed to have stalled out. To send out confirmation would mean a letter via snail mail, because we don't have email addresses on the registration form. I had expected that would be done, but Tim is very busy as are the rest of us. We will have time to put a better registration/confirmation system in place for next year. Give both east end tourneys some slack for learning curve this season. I know I just paid $300 cash for Oswego at Fat Nancy's and didn't even get a receipt. I certainly should have gotten something to prove I paid. Not sure what else to say, but I will contact Tim and see about getting a list of paid teams to post by next week.

Torpedo's will work, I know dive bombs do. So does putting it on your center rigger. The 735 copper started as a joke to see how much we could get on a reel with 450 ft of 30lb power pro backing. I had some custom 45 lb copper made that is only .033 dia. That's what fit on a Penn 345 GTI. Coulda squeezed 750+ but the spooler didn't wind it on level. I put it in the water twice. It takes several minutes to let it all out,it caught a fish within 10 minutes both times, then took like 45 minutes to reel it in. LMBO Something like that really needs to be on an electric reel. My electric reel is named Justin, but it's very slow and needs to be upgraded, lol I do think the length plays a role along with depth. Maybe not enough for it to matter day to day, but definitely when money is on the line

Hey Nick, I just spooled up a 735 copper a couple weeks ago. You are welcome to use it in your video if ya really want to show the ugly side of copper. Teresa would like it a lot!! I know Justin enjoyed pulling in lakers on it last week

Lucky Enuff has sent in their $$. The boat is up for sale. I doubt it will sell by then, considering the soft market, but if it does the new owner may be fishing the Pro Am with me per terms of the sale

I'm trying Jeff. Hey, I may talk myself out of this crazy idea. You guys that have fished with me have never heard me mention ever selling this boat, or utter a bad word about it. Honestly, I'm pretty shocked I'm considering it. I've owned it 7 years now...figured I'd have it for another 7 years yet. The wife and daughter won't tolerate biting flies and getting up @ 5am. If they are going to join us boys, they want a cushy cruiser so they can sleep in and do girl stuff while I fish and enjoy nature. I am/was perfectly content with Lucky Enuff, or the baker as you like to call it

I'm in no hurry Besides that, I will be up at the lake a good part of the summer. I get my emails, but don't get on LOU very much when I'm up there. Lucky Enuff is a very rare, turn key- restored 240 Sea Ray SRV with twin Mercruiser 165hp 6 cyl. chevy motors (250 ci inline 6). Both motors (330+hp total) were rebuilt motors installed about 5 years ago. I don't know the hours, but both are very strong with many years of life left if taken care of. The outdrives are Sterndrive engineering SE106 drives. One is 3 seasons old, the other was new this spring. She's a fast, dependable and economical fishing boat. I never fully opened it up to find the top end, but she cruises at 25-29 mph depending on seas and how many persons aboard. Fastest I took it up to was 37 mph on the gps, but it had more. Normally, I cruise it around at about 25 and it barely works the motors and gets very good gas mileage at that speed. This boat has been a great fishing rig for us the past 7 years. It's set up and ready to fish! Fuel economy: a couple weeks ago we made back to back runs from Mexico to Henderson, a 20 mile run each way. That equates to 80 miles running at low cruise speed (25 mph) pus 14 hours of trolling, and she burned a total of 50 gallons of fuel. I'm really going to miss that fuel economy. She's an older boat, but has been gone over extensively the past 7 years with many many new parts. There has never been a survey done, but the hull and transom is very solid and very thick. The motors do not bolt to the stringers, but rather to a cross member that runs across the stringers. Pretty neat design and rock solid!! It does have a large engine box to house the 2 motors, but there is plenty of room to get down each side to the riggers or to net fish and we have come to enjoy how usable the engine box is. This design makes for a very stable boat in rough seas because your feet are at the water line. While I would not suggest it, there is a person or two on LOU that can varify she'll handle 6-8+ ft seas without a problem. I have been out in some nasty stuff, and in 7 years I've only had one puker, and shadster pukes on everyones boat, right buddy, lol it has really high gunnels (belt high on a 5'8" man). This is NOT a short person's boat but a great boat if you have kids!! It used to have a flybridge. I removed it two seasons ago and we installed a custom hardtop on the boat. It looks really nice, is way more functional and there is now about 6'3" or 6'4" of head clearance under the hardtop. Boat is an 8' beam and very easy for one person to handle. This boat has fished tournaments at about every port on the lake, so you may have already seen it. That is exactly what I found. It would be neat to have it in the back, but it just didn't work out because you can't see the screen detail. That is also why I have the dual screen monitor and have it mounted high....hardtop shades it no matter what the conditions are and I can watch it when driving, plus everyone else in the boat can view it

I have one, don't use it very often but it's a cool gadget to have. For a screen, I use the second screen for a dual screen portable dvd player. I have that mounted under my hardtop up high on a swivel wall mount tv bracket. Slick set up and it's one of very few options where you have a video in port.

Not a rumor, but not set in stone either. Pro division has an observer Am division has no observer We discussed this at length. I must add that I am not really on the rules committee, just an advisor, and a voice because I can get online more frequently. The Pro division has remained unchanged from previous format. For the Am, we actually would prefer to have the observer. I know Matt was against straying away from the no observer at first, but the most important aspect to us is to get the best Am turnout possible. We want to appeal to the masses, and the observer has been a sticking point through the years in the Am division and one reason numbers decreased yearly. Last year Sodus had many teams in the no observer open division I have never seen before. That is what we are looking for...new team participants. The Am division should be the farm system for the Pro division, but new teams, (especially from out of town, or out of state) can be intimidated with the whole observer aspect and it keeps them from signing up. It also runs up team cost, and creates space issues on small boats. We all know not everyone will be happy, no matter what. What does matter is that we listen to all sides and in the end do what is best for the majority. We polled many Am teams, and no observer was the clear winner, but we are open minded and if this is not the case and the majority wants an observer we would certainly listen. Lets not overlook that the KOTL events have run without an observer with GREAT success and very few/if any problems....for many years. Remember, all Am teams will have a flag, and we will have boats on patrol watching with binoculars looking for infractions....trust us on that. We will have a zero tolerance policy on cheating. We have also discussed cooler checks in the morning. Nobody is going to want to get caught cheating....it won't be a good experience. Self-regulation does and can work if we all band together and want it to work. Just my opinion....

By 3 dipseys I was referring to 2 on one side and one on the other. That is my starting spread 90% the time when king fishing. #1 & 3 off one side and #2 off the other. If the fish are crushing the side with 2 ...I may add a 4th.
