  1. WTG Guys!!!! Sorry I missed your call Jason, sounds like the new Big Weenie Flys are bad azz Looking forward to seeing them.
  2. Love that green goby. That spoon was great last summer.
  3. Whew....they had some slips left, so I'll be in #18
  4. I'm taking the family to this, we are really looking forward to it. I'm stuck on 328...they don't have much left but it will do Hey, how are you guys reserving slips? I called but got a machine. If they have some left I'd sure like to reserve one.
  5. Justin, pm me your address. You have my kids name & if I didn't send you one he'd be pretty upset with me Now, don't look directly at it. You could do serious damage to your eyes.....catches fish though
  6. My boy Justin and myself fished with Final Flight (Rollie) aboard his Blue Bubble today and had a great time on our first trip ever to Seneca. As always....thanks for having us bud. I look forward to fishing with ya again in a couple weeks. We picked at the lakers all day, boating 15 of 16 with one LL. Justin had a ball, but with a 4 hour drive each way I think he's whooped Couldn't get much of a spoon bite today. Most all fish came on Big Weenie flys. First fish came as we were setting the first dipsey of the morning on the new Whoopie Goldbrg Justin and I got a double, and he boated the best of the day....a nice native Laker that I guess was so big Rollie could only get the head of in the photo Got a couple fish on the Big Weenie Vegetarian Vampire We also took 3 fish on Big Weenie saltsy balls fly behind a custom taped green E-chip and three or four on a custom BW fly Rollie had made up. Pole Dancer took a couple and an aggitated frog took one. We caught the LL on a new R&R spoon Rollie was testing. All and all a GREAT day on the water. I'll let Rollie give the details I forgot. Oh yeah, all fish lived to fight another day and when you get the chance, please take the time to take a kid fishing.
  7. Glad to hear it tested well and is ready for production Gary....like there was ever any doubt it wouldn't I know Big Weenie has been working on this for months now....sensing it was time to introduce an "all new" bait head. Now that the molds are finished, we can look forward to what will surely be the best bait head on the market Besides the fact that everything they make is top quality, they regular people like us and the absolute best to deal with
  8. I didn't ask Jason if he got a pic....I gotta think we'll see a snapshot of this laker when they get in. 18lbs....beauty of a fish guys
  9. Way to go Jason You know, Big Weenie is really giving me a hard time over that fly He told me if anyone ever stole my boat, the only thing I'd find at the dock was the Whoopie Goldberg flies....even a thief wouldn't want them Thank you for proving the fish like them Jason (That was the point, after all). Thanks a TON for making them for us BW I think you'll be hearing that name all year long I'll bring a few more up on Saturday for ya Jason.....I need to give Rollie a couple also. I only have 30, and BW says I better make them last forever Hope ya got everything straightened out & I look forward to seeing ya Saturday
  10. Yeah baby....you're the man Jason! He said it took 3 fish in 10 min. and then the Woopie died when the sun came up.....as you'd expect it to on such a bright day. I'll be joining Rollie Saturday on Seneca, I'm looking forward to getting the Vampire going too Those 30 Whoopies ya sent should last us at least till summer Gary.....then we're gonna be needing some more bud
  11. That IS cool Rick! I tore up my ducer's hs fairing block last fall on the trailer at the Oswego Scotty, so I can appriciate that. I couldn't figure out why I kept getting water in the bilge till I pulled the boat out after the tourney and saw it was halfway tore off , so now you'll have one less thing to worry about Sounds like you have a lot of new toys to play with this season
  12. You sure about that Kingslamon22?? Hey Gary....how about you tie me up some life size Whoopie Goldbergs
  13. Paul, You want me to throw them in the car when I head to St. Catherines to fish the Kotl? If you're looking to do something before that I can take some better pics in the shop for you....let me know.
  14. The tubes are nice Bob....I use them for rigged flys The binders are for fly bodies.
  15. That's something to keep an eye on Rick and I'll report back later in the season. I just checked and so far (two months in) I don't see it happening. Flies are easy enough to reshape anyway. I won't be out west with my boat till the week before the Niagara Pro Am I'm gonna fish the St. Catherines Scotty with Free Spirit and maybe the Wilson also....not sure on that one yet? I'm re-powing the Port side of my boat with a new engine and drive. I did the starboard side two years ago, so it will be great to have both sides done but It's killing me knowing I'll miss the first month at the bar!! I look forward to seeing you guys when I get out there....hope your dad is doing good
  16. Go ahead..bust my chops all ya want, I can take it Those colors work and It's really not so different than an NBK spoon in color, which is only the most popular spoon on Lake O. I never received any points for taking 6 fishermen to the weigh in, so I'm not worried about other fishermen liking it....long as the fish do
  17. Well, BW just sent me this picture of the Whoopie Goldberg fly and it's just what I wanted It may not be easy on the eyes, but these glow green flies are gonna rock deep on a dark morning!! Big Weenie is taking orders for the Whoopie Goldberg fly ...call and order them by the dozens!!!! Thanks again bud, hope your eyes heal soon! This picture sux, looking forwad to seeing them in person! So....any opinions ? Is it really that ugly ?? It's gonna glow something crazy!!
  18. If I didn't know better I'd think you were telling me to keep my day job, cause I ain't no fly designer Maybe you just gotta look at it through salmon colored glasses Gary. You think we should just call that one the homely fly? You warned me it was gonna be homley looking, but I think the fish are gonna like it You just wait my friend.... Me and that ugly fly are gonna be smoking salmon, and I promise I won't tell anyone you made it As long as it looks pretty to the fish, I'll be laughing all the way to the weigh station!! Seriously though...THANKS!! Looking forward to the V V, that's a rocking fly and I know there are a couple guys here that want a few. Call Gary now and get them before I do
  19. See how he is Sliderbite Hi Trolling 82, You will love them. I wouln't go laker fishing without having at least one in the water
  20. LOL....hey Paul, remember that conversation we had at LOTSA about thick skin ? We'll, you are right, but I'm not gonna take it laying down... I'm preparing for the assult. I dunno, but me thinks there will be a lot of laughs this season!! Zeke, Right now there are only two and I'm not letting go of them , But... when BW makes us some more I'm sure he'll make you a few. He'd rather make 30 than just 4 anyway. We just spoke about adding some glow to a second version. Not sure yet? I love it the way it is and we'll add the big glow beads BW carries if I want glow on it, but a glow Vampire could be sweet? BTW...It was actually a Nov. trip. The fly wasn't made till late October.
  21. Gary...that was supposed to be our little secret !! I did call you and suggest a fly be called Icey Uranus... And I still think that is a better name than Karen's suggestion of Rodlovesuraus.....I'm still not so hot on that one Having represented Big Weenie at the Lotsa show, I had plenty of people tell me they really liked the names.....even the ladies! My wife cracked up when I told her you named one yellow snow
  22. Hey Zeke....that would be Cayuga. I don't think it would matter though. I like darker flys like this one in low light conditions. For a dark fly, this one really has a lot of flash though, so it may be a little more versatile....we'll have to see?
  23. LMAO.....that's to funny dude ! My wife named it Gary does like to have fun with his fly names. It can be awkward going into a store and asking if they have a Big Weenie lickalotapuss or a Wrecked Em They catch a crap load of fish though. He just likes to mess with people that way. I'd love to fish it with you....really I would! I know Jeff gave you my situation. I wish it were different cause I'm itching to get on the water and it's looking like the fishing could be fantastic!
  24. Coastal, off Sandy Hook NJ, but I know they work on inland hybrid fish also. We ran this fly clean (no flasher) with a vibrator head. We also ran it the same way behind a grease trap. Both ways produced fish. Have not given a flasher much time yet for striped bass, so I just don't know?
  25. OK, ya got my vote Rollie. But only cause I won't be fishin it I'm using up all my days for the Pro Ams.
