  1. That's a photo to cherish Bill.....thanks for sharing
  2. Nice Mark! I just got a case as well. I got the bait heads but not the daisy chain...now I'm bummed! I like the green....it's glow...correct? Can you do me a favor? I need to tie up rigs. What is the measurement from the top of the treble to the top of the single hook?
  3. I think that may be backward Nick, I dunno? Actually, I was only speaking about one year class, those being the kings stocked in the spring of 08. Normally I wouldn't care so much. Just my opinion & to each his own. I know we did our part releasing them
  4. We'll see you all there. Should be awesome. Just hoping for better weather than day two of the Wilson Scotty.
  5. Same here....we C&R most days and keep them on tournament days and when friends join us that want to take them home. Hey...If everyone released them all the alewive population would be decimated!! Think about it.... I do have an issue with people keeping one year olds though. I know they are good eating, but only 600,000+ were stocked in the spring of 08. I had a buddy get mad last trip cause I made him throw 2 little guys back (even though he had 6 matures in the cooler)...."they're the best eating" he says. Too bad....long as I'm Capitan they get released!!!
  6. Anyone know the entry deadline for the Scotty? I don't see it on the website? I know the entry fee was $500 canadian for the Wilson Scotty, so I'm guessing this one is the same....or is it $500 US dollars this time? So who all is doin this one??
  7. What a turnout....97 teams....WOW!! Great job to all involved making it happen Here is my boy Justin being all proud of our Team Lucky Enuff box He actually let me pull two in this time (the copper fish...of course ) ....what a kid!! Thanks for the use of your board Joe.
  8. Thanks for taking those Chris! I sent you a pm Anyone else notice all the Blue's sitting in front of Jeff ...looks like you were having a good time bud Justin is my first mate for sure Jeremy. He fished both East End Pro Ams (his first time) with us and did awesome! He just fished the LSRC with me too. It was funny....we were at awards at the LSRC and when they called our team name, Justin shot right out of his seat and went to get our check I didn't even tell him to. The lady was like....who are you ?? I had to step forward and tell her it was cool....he was on the team So yesterday he overheard me talking about the Scotty and he said "I'm In Dad" !!
  9. That first pic is wicked cool Nick!
  10. Good point Scott. I will bring that up for next year. I know the website is a lot of work, they may be waiting to see if the open division is worth keeping around before investing the time. Turnout was not what they had hoped for this season.
  11. I still have not gotten mine from last year yet I called like 4 times and have now just given up on it.
  12. Saturday: Fished the Little Salmon river challenge out of Sodus with my buddy, his girlfriend & my 10 yr old son. The one thing I found is things have changed since the Pro Am. Fish are around in Sodus...but not in the numbers of the week before. We had a nice day fishing strait out of port in 165 to 230 fow. Temp was about 60ft down, but the fish we caught were high and out of temp. Ended the day 8 for 11 and weighed in a 6 fish box of 105 lbs (165 points). Most of our bites were on the wire 150 & 170 on a 3 setting....couple on 170 on a 1 setting. We did take two deeper fish on 400 copper later in the morning. Our riggers were quiet, only taking a brown and one king 60 down as we were clearing lines to run in. Fish came on white /green spinny combo's, gator spinny pulling Atomic pro am , Stinger Die Hard & a dreamweaver green goby. Sunday: Didn't go out till 7pm (did beach thing with kids). Mission: get my wife her first king. We didn't have much time, so I headed strait out and set up a simple spread in 180 fow. Took about 45 min, but we got a small 8 lb king to grab a green glow fly off a green paddle 60 down on the rigger. It was the perfect first salmon for her. Soon as that was in the boat she grabbed the other rigger rod and pulled in a 4 lb steelie. We pulled lines and headed for port. Steelie took an nbk. Monday: Headed out solo at 6am. Decided to go a bit east this time. Since it had been a wire bite for me, I opted for two wires and just put my rigger in the water for speed & temp. It didn't take to long and the 150 wire started screaming. I wasn't as interested in pulling in fish as I was in generating bites and trying some new combos. I was slow to the rod and it got off. Next hit was same rig....this one was hooked to well and I had to pull it in. At least it was only 10 lbs, cause netting big kings in my boat on the dipsey rod solo is a little too much like work Took one more hit on that rig (white/green spinny I taped pulling a green glow fly) and another on a gold/green spinny I taped up. It started getting way to bumpy for one guy to run the bosat so I headed in by 9:30. The fishing is great....call in sick and get out there
  13. I'd like to enter. Not sure I'll make it up in time for the meeting though...does it matter? Can I overnight a money order?
  14. Only for you Ray Hey Nick....I got the all clear from the wife and a crew for this weekend, so I'll call you when I get up there on Friday.
  15. Those are one of the best motors ever made. Very simple also....there is nothing to that system. Just follow the hot leads with a tester to find out where the break is. Ignition systems don't get easier than that one, so it's a very basic problem.
  16. Thanks Nick.....hope to see ya in Sodus this weekend! I'm waiting to see the weather before asking the wife if I can go away again.....she's gonna be at me...but she'll get over it
  17. Get well Bob....we'll be thinking about you!!
  18. Glen, I'm just so glad everything worked out for you and your crew. You guys are first class and I wish we could have spent some more time hanging out this season....maybe this season in Mexico? Just goes to show something like that can happen to anyone at anytime. The Coastguard did one heck of a job Congrats on a very strong season, you guys deserve it
  19. Am Team Lucky Enuff may be looking for an extra team member for next season. We fish all four Pro Am's and we could use an extra person. We currently have 2 regulars, but would prefer 3 or 4 regulars. I know it's 11 months away, but by looking now maybe we can fish together a few times before next season's events We'd like someone with a fair amount of experience and will be able to afford to spend some time with us pre fishing before each event. We are very competitive, but very laid back as well. Please...No drama queens or people with anger management issues We split all expenses between members, as well as winnings. We usually stay in my RV (saving us $$), and fish out of whoever's boat gives us the better chance to compete. If your interested, email Jeff at [email protected] OR myself at [email protected]
  20. It was a cool idea....hope we do it again next year I was actually really looking forward to going head to head with Del on Sunday. We wanted to take our beating like men, but weather wasn't allowing it. Way to go team Liquid Plummer....that was one heck of a box on a day no other team (Pro or Am) boxed out. See everyone this week in Sodus for the last round.....hope we get in two days this time
  21. Don't know how accurate this is, but I heard rumor that he just had a thru hull ducer put on.....could have been leaking??
  22. As the captain, if you think it's an Atlantic and It's under 25"....toss it back! If you bring in an undersized Atlantic, not only will you be dq'd, the dec will be having a chat with you. It's your a$$ on the line....not the observers. None of us want to throw back a legal fish....fishing has not been that great. My team caught 3 Atlantic's on day one of the Orleans Pro Am. They were all in the 20-22 inch range and we tossed all three back asap so they would survive. Believe me....I would have loved to keep them if they were browns, as we only boated 2 legal fish that day. We also threw back a 21 3/8 inch steelie.....another tough call!! One under size fish will ruin your tournament, so if it's to close to call, release it. Just my opinion...good luck!!
  23. Our entries are on the way. I think there is a typo on the zip code...should be 13126....no?
