Lure Depth: 2-12 Gorgeous day on the water(aren't they all though?!) Got a nice early start when my partner showed up at 5:10am, scheduled for 5:30! Of course I was ready to go, so off we went. Left Sandy creek mouth at 5:45 headed for Watoma at FULL throttle I set all the rods in 8ft. and took 2 small Steelies(3 and 5lbs.) on the first pass. Before turning the far outside board line rips off and starts screaming..one nice run and a BIG jump later and a pig of a Steelie spits the hook We turn and run down through 8-12 and pull four browns on a West troll. 2 more on our way back and our last fish comes in 19 ft. of water down 12 on the rigger. All early fish on boards and later the one little rigger I have on my Crestliner was producing big time!. We dropped 3 of our 4 biggest fish(or Matt did anyway) The captain ( ) took only one fish and landed it! The dropped fish were browns off the rigger as Matt battled them to the boat and hooks just pulled out. Better size(8-12#'s) for our bigger fish today. FUN day as always! 5. Gene, that's a great reason to miss fishing!! Good luck! Tank
  6. Thanks Scott! I came back to edit with an intersesting point (to me anyway) that all the fish that were dropped spit the hook on jumps! Very acrobatic little browns that day! Tank.

I hope we get some chop before the weekend to color things up again! Talked to some guys at the launch and they had done some fish in front of the creek. 14. Fished mostly 380-430ft Saturday morning after a 3 week hiatus on my boat and ended the day 9-11. Four kings 8, 10, 15,and 23#s, four steelies to 10 lbs. and one 3# coho. Temp was 46 degrees down 100 ft. most of the day. Took fish on white crush glow spinny and glow ghost off the 310 wire, one on 350 wire with hot grn spinny and hammer and the rest on NBK and purple pounder anywhere from 65-115 on the riggers. Felt great to be back on the boat again! Monday was one of the best 3 hours ever spent on the water to date for one reason: this little guy joined me! My 4 year old son, Matty We had tons of bait and good marks in 240-280. About a half hour after getting rigged the 225 wire starts screaming loaded with grn spinny/hammer combo and me and the little guy battled a 15# king to the boat. As soon as he hits the net the 62 rigger loaded with the purple pounder fires and a few minutes later we landed a fat 10# coho. That was it for the day, but we had a blast! We kept both fish for my marina owner to smoke. Great day on the water. here's Matty with HIS catch!! Tight lines, Tank
  15. Thanks guys....looks like I'm shootin the bow tonight! Not that there is ANYTHING wrong with that for sure! But I feel your pain! Tank
  16. Nice fish Scott, I haven't been out much in the last few weeks and I sooo need to tie into one of those pigs. I'm headin out with Jay and Trish in the am so chances are good. Tank
  17. I could have used some last night off Sandy. In 400 ft. I had consistent, big marks down 250. Those had to be kings. I am not sure of the article or author, but I know that at least one charter captain has successfully targeted those deep fish. You say these weighed 2 lbs. How do you run them, what is the setup? Thanks, Tank
  18. See what you started Rob with catching that fish...next time just throw it back in! Tank
  19. Sick pictures Jerry. Nice work! Tank
