The weather finally cooperated enough to work on the “new” boat. Changed oil and filter. Drained 25 gallons of 8 year old gas , soaked cylinders with marvel mystery oil. New plugs , cleaned points And crossed my fingers. Started and ran like a Swiss watch. But the raw water pump is fried. Started to overheat. New project. But no sign of freeze damage. Sigh of relief But the way. I was under the impression it had been used in the past 3 years. Found out it had not seen the water since 2011. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Many things to take into account. Size of your boat is important when the wind is blowing that hard. Expect a bumpy ride. The farther you go from shore the rougher it will get. Be cautious . Lake O can be very dangerous. And the water temps at this time of year don’t give you much of a chance if you go in the water my experience tells me if you get to windward in 20 mph winds , you can expect 4-5 foot waves Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

The “lure” of choice on the Salmon River in the snagging days. We used to stand in the bridges and laugh at the “fishermen” crossing lines , falling down , and fighting. Why more didn’t drown is a mystery the sport was watching these guys. Lol Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app -
The problem with the people proposing this bill are from downstate the assembly districts that are predominately urban , with no hunting and little fishing , except the marine fishery We must depend on the upstate assembly districts to oppose these attacks on sport the down side is the disproportionate population density the liberals push through their agenda with little chance of defeat it has little to do with freedom of speech. It is an all out attack on hunting and fishing and you can add gun ownership to the list I’d like to see what would happen to a bill like this that was introduced in say , Texas there would be many politicians lookin for gainful employment. I have a perfect example of how our sport can be used against us by media I was a gunner for the Syracuse retriever club. We would shoot ( sometimes. Lol ) hand thrown pigeons and farm raised mallards for retriever trials. The Syracuse media asked to do a story on the trails. It ended up being a story on the cruelty of shooting “ innocent “ birds. We have to be aware of our enemies Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Just got around to reading this. I guess government statistics can’t be scewed , only statistics from big oil and coal. Lmao. We ARE thinking of our kids and grandkids. When these monstrosities reach the end of their useful life , we will have to remove their carcasses and when I say we , I mean the taxpayers. There is no provision in any application for the clean up of spills and removal of old infrastructure building these things near and over water should be outlawed. At least the people of Cape Vincent and Henderson have won , at least for the time being Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

Here's the latest on the Saiff saga . Why the judge would seal the report is a mystery to me . It's not like he's a minor . Lol Court report sealed in case of Henderson hunting guide’s alleged probation violation By BRIAN KELLY [email protected] PUBLISHED: TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 12, 2019 AT 12:30 AM HENDERSON — A status report filed Friday by federal prosecutors regarding the need for a hearing to determine whether a local hunting and fishing guide should have his probation supervision revoked has been ordered sealed by a judge. In late December, Magistrate Judge Therese Wiley Dancks gave prosecutors until Friday to file a status report in the case of William Saiff III, who is serving 17 months’ probation imposed in U.S. District Court, Syracuse, after he pleaded guilty in May 2017 to two misdemeanor counts of violating the Migratory Bird Treaty Act by guiding waterfowl hunters over baited ponds for profit. According to a plea agreement filed with the court, Mr. Saiff admitted that on Oct. 27, 2015, he guided a hunting party over a baited pond near Mason Road in the town of Cape Vincent. He had previously placed corn as bait into an underwater trough he owned and installed at the pond. Mr. Saiff knew the pond had been baited, but guided a hunting party to the location, where the party shot and killed several types of federally protected ducks. On Oct. 31, 2015, Mr. Saiff guided a party to a pond near Killenback Road in the town of Rodman, knowing that he had placed about 50 pounds of corn as bait at the pond. Again, hunters shot and killed several protected geese and ducks at the Rodman location before a law enforcement official intervened and seized the dead waterfowl. As part of the terms of probation, Mr. Saiff was ordered not to engage in any hunting or guiding activities before Jan. 1, 2019. The terms further prohibited Mr. Saiff from accompanying hunters to any locations used for hunting or feeding ducks, geese or other waterfowl and he was ordered to stay away from any such locations. He was allowed to continue fishing and to guide fishing expeditions. However, documents filed in December allege that Mr. Saiff again “placed waterfowl bait on or adjacent to an area knowing that hunting excursions that he arranged through his hunting guide business would be involved in shooting migratory waterfowl,” a violation of federal law. Documents show that Mr. Saiff could face new charges for alleged baiting and he made a Dec. 19 court appearance to answer to a petition alleging that he has violated probation. At the appearance, prosecutors did not seek Mr. Saiff’s detention, but Judge Dancks modified conditions of his probation to include home confinement daily between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. and electronic monitoring at all other times. A final probation revocation hearing was not scheduled until a determination can be made regarding possible additional criminal charges against Mr. Saiff, which prompted the request from Judge Dancks for a status report. While the report is sealed, court documents show that Judge Dancks reviewed the report and has requested a further status report be filed by March 29 to determine “whether the immediate scheduling of a Final Revocation Hearing is requested” by prosecutors. Mr. Saiff hosted a hunting and shooting sports program called “Cabin Country,” which aired on public television stations nationwide. He is also owner of Bill Saiff Outdoors and Seaway Waterfowl Professionals in the town of Henderson.

I bought 16 # weights from troutman87 on this site. Harvey is a great guy to do business with and the product is awesome. It comes in natural metal finish. I coated mine with plasti dip purchased at Lowe’s. I’m sure the sharks are great , but the torpedoes from Harvey work and are cheaper Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
