  2. I got tired of chasing cut bait seems like the shops are always running out. I bought a case from A-Tom-Ick this spring. That should solve the problem Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. My guess is that the high ethenol gas has destroyed your phenolic float. You can buy a kit from iboats or west marine. I have rebuilt my mercarb and one for a friend. Not a bad job if you have any mechanical knowledge. You will need your carb number as there are early and late carbs. And you will need to buy the new float separately, as it doesn’t come with the kit
  4. Is it a Rochester or Mercarb ? Sounds like it’s not getting enough air. Is the choke stuck on ? Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  10. Wolf Island is in the St. Lawrence River in the Canadian side across from Cape Vincent it is an eyesore , especially at night when the hundreds of red anti collision lights are flashing. You are correct that the skyline is affected. Driving property values down. At least having the turbines on Galloo island minimizes any spill concerns. The big problem for fishermen and casual boaters is the 30 mile underwater cable that will run to Oswego. Will it affect the fishing ? Will there be an exclusion zone for boaters ? No answers to these questions so far Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile appby the way. That underwater cable will run through some of the best fishing waters on the East end of the lake. Hate to be bouncing bottom for oil cans ( lake trout ) and snag that cable. That would be shocking. Makes me concerned about an exclusion zone
  11. New developments . Apex Clean Energy is trying to get the state of NY to accept their impact statement as submitted . 19. I used the arm of the rigger to get a rough level. A bubble level would be useless on a rolling pitching boat. The angle is close with this method. Not perfect
  20. I made up charts years ago that I used with a simple protractor from the store. This was before I got a probe that shows actual depth. It’s a real eye opener to see how much cable you need to deploy to reach a specified depth. I now use 16 # torpedoes. MUCH less blowback as son as I can dig out my tackle bag I will take pics and post them. Hope it will help
  21. Your sonar (distance finder) will show the distance your weight is from the transducer. It does not mean you are trolling at that depth Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United mobile app
