  1. I agree with Gill T..you need better friends. We all need to remember, this is supposed to be fun. On my boat, the agreement was an equal split with all and the boat being counted as a person as well. Very fair.
  2. I know..typically in April or May. Years ago on the Little Salmon River I witnessed the result of the treatment..Holy smokes that treatment works... Sent from my SM-G998U using Lake Ontario United mobile app

  9. This man is a wealth of knowledge in our field. I've been a captain for 20 years thru sea tech .awesome training. A lot of things with the information given here are weak at best. It is not the responsibility of the instructor to insure the new captain is enrolled in a drug testing program . Since I've been captain..The Maritme Consortium has handled my drug compliance Through Quest Diagnostic. Been like that for 20 years. No issues. Has far as his credibility..I have a hard time accepting ANY kind of decision other than the right thing to do. He's a good man Just my judgement of a man I respect Captain Dave Shedd..Mexico Bay Thanks Dennis !!! Sent from my LM-V405 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  10. Well said !!!!! Sent from my QTASUN1 using Lake Ontario United mobile app
  11. Sorry...mistake... While there are STILL charter boats available ...they would be happy to help.. I'm sure there are liability issues and fish disperse challenges...I'm sure can get worked out..the world we live in today makes everything difficult. This fishery is a valuable resource for all on this site...just saying there is help available .
  12. As far as the brown trout stocking.....I KNOW......that charter captains in Mexico Bay/Little Salmon river would volunteer their boats to help in the disperment
  13. Well said.....we're all struggling....the opinions of a few uninformed " internet " brave individuals . Doesn't matter..it takes a great commitment to become a captain on the Great Lakes. Look into it. Not many would qualify . The responsibility in taking customers on this lake and getting them home safe is our # 1 priority ..Period....fishing is a passion for all captains that are worthy of bearing all the responsibility of "non fishing issues"...as for my customers...there all terrific . I get compensated very well. They know...they know what it takes And appreciate the effort.. We can't control the fishing. But we can control effort and getting our customers home safely...captd

  22. Thanks for the reply Skeiner......Must be frustrating to witness that type of "stocking program"....I thought the north shore DEC/lake management folks worked closer with the south shore people to help support our Great Lake..perhaps they do in other ways...thx again captd
  23. There's been some question as to whether or not this program is still happening . Captains on the South shore asking....Thx
