They have moved in and up just as fast as they came in. After every rough day the next day usually brings in a fresh batch of sharks. The 25 to the 29 north line been the most consistent fishing for the last month or so. Alot of fuel but well worth it. The steelhead and 2 and 3 yr old salmon are abundant when you find the bait. We have managed to boat 3 steelhead that were tickling the 18lb mark, beauties! Yesterday the fish offshore were gone, they packed thier bags and moved in to the 20 to 21 north line. (110 to 150ft ) Silver green with glow be it spoons or spinnies. The bite is awesome, the fish are chewing bigtime right now in prep for their run. Their are still some matures their as well as those 3yr olds. A few more trips and i am done till march. I can only hope next year we be like this killer year. Take care SUMMARY & FURTHER DETAILS ====================
  17. This issue is not going to go away too soon. Its rearing iits ugly head again, as i heard on the radio this morning. Lets kill it once and for all!
  18. You are the MAN jim. Get that sled ready.
  19. They are there big time. 2 loads came in since 9/8.
  20. Yes, there is plenty of fish in the river. I fished mon afternoon between the bridges and had 2 for 9. It was loaded with them. Once they are there there is no going back. It is all upstream from then on.
  21. WOW! Brought tears to my eyes, and that aint easy.
  22. Lff, spoons have been the man overall around the river and out deep. Mags in front of the river and 28 size offshore. Bright stuff in either water. It is very green water no matter where you are, unless you are in the river flow. Flies and paddles are a whole nother issue. Keep it simple for now

There was a small upwelling then. The second slug arrived after the week of the windy noreasters we had. That was 9/8. At that time we had a good upwelling and all the salmon that were even thinking about it. busted a move to the river. The fishing was great the first few days, with double digit catches. Since then most of the fish went up the river. Last night i fished right behind my boat. Between the bridges we went 2 for 7. The stacked like cordwood in there. That is the deepest part of the river. We need another front to roll through to bring more fish. The 21 to the 29 north line has been awesome for monster steelhead and 2year old salmon. One trip pulled a steelie just under 18lbs with a few chrome matures as well. Anything silver green and glow was getting chewed. I will be all done fishing on the 28th. Too many things to do, wow.
